Episode Summary
Han Xu's memory partially returns after a kiss from Chen Yaxin, but he only recalls their time at the police academy. He gives her the mole's contact info before leaving to find his past. A police sting involving Chief Zhou goes wrong when Team Leader Ma, the true mole, kills both Zhou and officer Sucha. While escaping with Jiu Ge, Ma confesses to killing informant Xiao Ran. Enraged, Jiu Ge leads Ma into a trap where he is knocked out after seeing the real Wang Yu.

A Kiss and a Broken Memory
So, Chen Yaxin finally kisses Han Xu.
The moment it happens, his eyes change. He says he remembers everything. For a second, you think this is it. This is the big breakthrough we've been waiting for.
But it's a total fake-out.
Han Xu only remembers being classmates with her at the police academy. All the important history between them is still locked away. Chen Yaxin is clearly disappointed, but Han Xu doesn't seem to notice. He's decided he needs to find a place with a lighthouse to get the rest of his memories back. Before he goes, he gives her the contact information for the mole inside the department.
The Mole Makes His Move
A Setup Goes Sideways
Chen Yaxin doesn't hesitate. She takes a picture of the info and sends it straight to Wang Jian.
Using that intel, Wang Jian and Sucha corner Chief Zhou in a stairwell. The plan immediately falls apart. Chief Zhou pulls out a gun and fires. Sucha fights back and manages to disarm him. He holds Zhou at gunpoint, trying to force a confession.
Cleaning House
Then, Team Leader Ma appears.
He doesn't try to break it up. He just shoots them both. Sucha and Chief Zhou are dead. Ma immediately calls Wang Mingcheng to report that the plan is blown. The order from the top is clear. He needs to retreat right away.
The Long Car Ride
An Uncomfortable Reunion
Wang Mingcheng arranges for Jiu Ge to be Ma's getaway driver. We see Ma tossing the gun he used into a river, getting rid of the evidence.
Jiu Ge picks him up, and they start driving. Jiu Ge seems surprised that Ma is still alive after all these years. He's even more shocked to learn Ma was the mole inside the Police Department. It all makes sense to him now. This is how Wang Mingcheng always gets away clean.
A Fatal Confession
Jiu Ge then brings up Xiao Ran, mentioning he was an informant.
Team Leader Ma flat-out admits he killed Xiao Ran.
The look on Jiu Ge's face changes. He's full of hate, but he hides it. He just keeps driving. But he changes the route. They aren't going to the planned safe house.
Jiu Ge takes Ma to a hidden spot. Standing there is a man with one arm. It's Han Xu. Or rather, the real Wang Yu.
Before Ma can even react to the reveal, Jiu Ge hits him from behind with a wrench. Ma collapses, unconscious.
