The Confession

A Wrench and a Grudge

Wang Yu finally has Team Leader Ma cornered. He knows Ma is the one who killed Xiao Ran. So, Wang Yu confronts him, holding a wrench. You can guess this isn't going to be a friendly chat. Ma is tough at first. He refuses to cooperate. That was a bad move. Wang Yu smashes his wrist with the wrench.

That does the trick. Team Leader Ma completely falls apart. He confesses everything. He says he's hated Wang Yu since they were kids. Ma felt he was always seen as the weak one. But Wang Yu, who has only one arm, got all the attention. He got praise from Xiao Ran. He even got special treatment from Wang Mingcheng, who taught him how to make ice.

This created a deep resentment in Ma. He saw the other brothers risking their lives while Wang Yu got advantages. He couldn't take the unfairness. So, he transferred all that jealousy and hatred for Wang Yu onto Xiao Ran. His logic was twisted. If he couldn't have her, he would destroy her.

The Real Story?

Here's the thing. Wang Yu doesn't buy it. Not completely. He thinks there's more to the story. He suspects Wang Mingcheng put Ma up to it. Wang Yu's theory is that Mingcheng ordered the hit on Xiao Ran specifically to keep Wang Yu from leaving.

To get the truth, Wang Yu tortures him. He breaks two of Ma's fingers, demanding to know if Wang Mingcheng was the real mastermind. Under the pain, Ma can't hold out. He admits that Wang Yu's guess is correct. And for his confession, Wang Yu kills him.

An Unlikely Alliance

After dealing with Ma, Wang Yu finds Jiu Ge. He gives him a warning. If Jiu Ge goes back, he's a dead man. Wang Yu is sharp and also sees what's been obvious for a while. He calls out Jiu Ge's hidden feelings for Xiao Ran.

Jiu Ge doesn't deny it. But he's realistic. He knows Xiao Ran only ever loved Wang Yu. This shared connection becomes a turning point. Wang Yu makes a proposal. He wants them to team up and get revenge together. He hints that he's already set a fatal trap for Wang Mingcheng. He just needs Jiu Ge to join him.

Loose Ends and New Memories

A Mysterious Call

While all this is happening, Wang Jian makes a secret phone call. He reports that Chief Zhou and Sucha have been killed. He says they need to meet right away to figure out a new plan. This feels like a whole other conspiracy running in the background.

The Lighthouse

Then you have Han Xu. He's following his fragmented memories. They lead him to an old, abandoned lighthouse. He sees some chalk writing on a wall, and it triggers something huge. He suddenly remembers he had a twin brother named Han Yu. He also remembers that his brother died falling from this very lighthouse.

He frantically searches the room. He finds what he's looking for. It's a photo of him and his brother together.

The Wrong Person Answers

With this new, earth-shattering memory, Han Xu immediately calls Chen Yaxin. But she doesn't answer the phone. Wang Yu does.
