You knew it was coming. The big showdown between the brothers finally happened. And it was even more twisted than I expected.

The Trap is Sprung

The episode kicks off with the police finding that abandoned car. It's out in some bleak, empty field. Inside, they find Wang Mingcheng's body. No surprise there. But the real message is the photo left on the dash. It’s a picture of Wang Yu and Xiao Ran.

Han Xu sees it and realizes immediately what this is. His brother's revenge isn't over. This was all a setup. He knows his wife and daughter are the real targets.

And he's right. We see Wang Yu ram his car into a taxi. He violently grabs his niece, Nuonuo, and takes off. The only thing he leaves behind is a pendant. Han Xu finds a note inside, leading him to the next location.

The Lighthouse Confrontation

The note sends Han Xu to an old, abandoned lighthouse. Of course, Wang Yu is waiting for him. This isn't a tearful reunion. Wang Yu is consumed by pure hatred for his brother.

He doesn't waste any time. He shoots Han Xu in the arm. Then we see the full, horrifying picture. Wang Yu is sitting on a chair. A rope is tied to the leg of that chair. The other end of the rope is holding Nuonuo, who is dangling over the edge of the lighthouse. If the chair moves, she falls. It’s a sick, brilliant trap.

Wang Yu rages at Han Xu. But Han Xu knows his brother still has some humanity left. He points out that Wang Yu had Jiu Ge save his life before. The bond isn't completely broken.

A Letter and a Fall

Han Xu begs Wang Yu to let Nuonuo go. He pulls out a letter that Xiao Ran wrote to Wang Yu before she died.

In the letter, Xiao Ran confesses her love and her desire to protect him. She tells him she couldn't stand by and watch him sink deeper into crime. She believed turning to the police was the only way to truly save the man she loved.

Reading her words sends Wang Yu over the edge. He completely loses his composure. The chair loses its balance, and he and Nuonuo nearly plummet off the lighthouse. Han Xu, despite his wound, lunges and grabs the chair, holding on for dear life.

Just then, Wang Jian shows up and confronts Wang Yu. Fueled by jealousy over Han Xu's perfect family, Wang Yu raises his gun to shoot him. But Wang Jian is faster. He fires first, and Wang Yu goes down.

The Final Twist

Later, we see Wang Jian with Han Xu, placing flowers at a grave. It seems over.

But then Wang Jian meets with Uncle Kun and Tila. He hints that he still has the drug formula. They laugh at him. They think he has nothing.

The door opens. Wang Yu walks in, very much alive. He sits down without saying a word and just stares at them with cold, empty eyes.
