Episode Summary
In this episode, a complex web of betrayal unfolds as Mr. Han and San Ma Hu manipulate the police to eliminate their rivals and root out internal spies. The police attempt a bust at a train station, only to realize they were pawns in a larger game. While some low-level players are arrested, the masterminds advance their own positions, leaving the police informant, the Old Chinese Doctor, in grave danger.

The Setups and Schemes
A Blast from the Past
We get a quick look back at 1995. Mr. Han finds a down-on-his-luck Sun Bojun. Sun Bojun just got out of the police station. Someone stole his identity and framed him for a crime. Mr. Han offers him a pile of cash. He wants Sun Bojun to work with him. They can get strong enough for some payback later.
The Present-Day Mess
Back in the present, things are falling apart. Han Xin tracks down the van that took Mao Zi's mother. Then, news comes from the detention center. Hua Long tried to kill himself by running into a wall. Zhan Peng checks the surveillance tapes. He sees Hua Long met with one of Xiao Sheng's guys, Sun Zhongze.
Zhan Peng immediately goes to find Xiao Sheng. Xiao Sheng already knows why he's there. He admits his guy passed a message to Hua Long for some cash. The message was simple. "Your old mother is home, rest easy." This was clearly a signal.
Meanwhile, Mao Zi's mother has been found by the police. She was murdered. The police also find a hard drive at the scene. This is all part of a plan by Mr. Han. He killed her to get the police involved. He then "accidentally" let them find the hard drive. After recovering the data, the police find Hua Long's transaction records. They also get an anonymous email. It tells them to intercept the T626 train tomorrow.
The Undercover Game
The cops aren't the only ones making moves. Bing A Dou goes to see Tu Hongjiang late at night. He says he's in love with Bai Taohua. He just wants to know if she's working with Qi Lianshan. He's trying to get information out of Tu Hongjiang. He also reveals that San Ma Hu and Qi Lianshan are planning a huge deal.
At the same time, San Ma Hu is setting his own trap. He tells his trusted "brother," the Old Chinese Doctor, to handle a transaction. The Doctor is supposed to take two guys, Xiao Zhong and Xiao Hu. This is a test. The Doctor makes a phone call to his apprentice about getting his "old things." This makes San Ma Hu very suspicious. For Tu Hongjiang, this is a coded message. He realizes his informant, the Old Doctor, is about to be exposed. He tells his officers they must get the Doctor out during the next day's operation.
The Big "Bust"
Everyone's a Player
Everyone is playing their own angle. Qi Lianshan thinks the money from Mr. Han is too risky. He tells his men to double-cross everyone during the deal. Mr. Han is mad that his boss, Mr. Jiang, wants to promote Qi Lianshan. So, Mr. Han plans to use the cops to get rid of both Qi Lianshan and San Ma Hu. It's a classic two-birds-one-stone play.
San Ma Hu also makes a move. He brings in Bai Taohua. He offers her a 30 percent cut of the profits and a special task. If she succeeds, she'll become a direct agent for Mr. Jiang.
The Trap Springs
The day of the deal arrives. The police, led by Zhan Peng, are all in disguise at the train station. San Ma Hu and Qi Lianshan's people are also there. But the Old Chinese Doctor is told to stay behind and wait for Bai Taohua. The deal is being handled by someone else.
The police board the train. Zhan Peng spots the dealers and arrests them easily. Tu Hongjiang immediately realizes he's been played.
The guys arrested are Xiao Zhong and Xiao Hu. They confess everything right away. The police rush to the villa to save the Old Chinese Doctor. But he's already gone. San Ma Hu had him moved across the street. Ping Tou is now holding the Doctor's apprentice, Xiao Dou, hostage. The Old Doctor can't make a move without getting his apprentice killed.
Qi Lianshan calls Mr. Han, furious about the bust. Mr. Han just blames San Ma Hu. Han thinks he's won. He believes Mr. Jiang will never trust San Ma Hu now that there's a police informant in his crew.
He's wrong. San Ma Hu is already on another train heading out of the territory. He calls Qi Lianshan. He tells him he's coming to complete the deal personally. He also explains what just happened. He used the police to catch the moles in both of their organizations.
