Episode Summary
In this episode, the police use a clever "fake death" ploy to capture Da Gou, who then confesses that Mao Zi ordered the murder. Meanwhile, the Old Chinese Doctor is forced into a reunion with his dangerous junior brother, San Ma Hu. To escape a deal, Hua Long sets a bomb trap for the police, causing a massive explosion.

The Phone Trap
The episode kicks off with a loose end. Er Gou is home alone. He's stuck waiting for his brother, Da Gou, to get back. He gets bored and powers up that phone he stole from the KTN. Big mistake. That was all the opening Zhan Peng and the police needed. They immediately get a signal.
Zhan Peng calls the phone. Er Gou picks up. Zhan Peng plays it cool at first. He offers to buy the phone back for a high price. But Er Gou says his brother isn't home. That's the slip-up. Zhan Peng recognizes the voice as Li Er Ming, or Er Gou. He quickly switches tactics. He says he's a friend of his brother. The conversation gives the cops just enough time to lock onto the exact location.
A Brother's Arrest
The police don't waste any time. They quietly surround Er Gou's house. Three officers storm the place and arrest him. It happens fast. They search the house, but no one else is there.
Da Gou is on his way home with supplies. He sees the whole thing from a distance. He watches the cops lead his little brother away. The guilt hits him hard. He knows this is his fault.
The Confession
The Fake Death Ploy
The police have Er Gou, but he isn't talking. Zhang Nanyi tries to question him. Er Gou just keeps repeating that his brother is coming back. So, Zhan Peng tries a different angle. He knows Er Gou has the mind of a child. He starts playing a video game right in front of him. Er Gou gets completely hooked. He gets way too excited and it triggers a severe asthma attack.
The cops rush him to the hospital. Da Gou secretly follows them there. He disguises himself as an old man and waits outside the operating room. Then, he "overhears" the news that his brother died. He is absolutely destroyed. Later that night, he sneaks into the morgue. He just wants to see his brother one last time. But it's a setup. The police are waiting for him and make the arrest. It turns out Er Gou is fine. Zhan Peng figured out how close the brothers were. He used the fake death as bait, and Da Gou walked right into the trap.
Mao Zi's Involvement
Zhan Peng finally has Da Gou in the interrogation room. He doesn't just grill him. He talks about how Da Gou raised his brother all by himself. He mentions how the neighbors all said good things about him. It works. Da Gou breaks down. He confesses that Mao Zi was the one who ordered him to commit the murder.
A Dangerous Reunion
The Doctor and the Thug
There's another storyline heating up. Bing A Dou shows up at the Old Chinese Doctor's clinic pretending to be a patient. He's not subtle about it. His whole vibe is pure provocation. The doctor immediately knows who he is and refuses to treat him.
That night, the doctor has a serious talk with his apprentice. He tells him to start practicing his word puzzles again. He explains it will be their way of passing secret messages. He gives a warning. If he doesn't come back tomorrow night, the apprentice needs to call Tu Hongjiang. Later, the doctor prays and puts on his old thumb ring. He's getting ready for a fight.
Meeting an Old Enemy
The next day, Bing A Dou is back, being even more of a jerk. The doctor's patience runs out. He finally agrees to go meet San Ma Hu. He is brought before his old junior brother. San Ma Hu lays the charm on thick, praising his senior brother. But his goon, Bing A Dou, is still openly hostile.
Hua Long's Desperate Move
Lost Cargo
Hua Long has his own problems. His buyer, Sun Ge, calls him. He wants the goods delivered tomorrow. This is bad news for Hua Long. His cargo was stolen, and he has nothing to deliver. He's panicking.
Going Out with a Bang
Then he gets an idea. He remembers how he almost got caught by the cops during a previous deal. He decides to use them again. Han Xin gets a lock on Hua Long's phone position. The police, led by Zhan Peng, head to a warehouse on the outskirts of town. Mao Zi is watching from the shadows. The cops have been lured into another trap.
Zhan Peng and his team move carefully into the warehouse. They find a bomb. Before they can react, it explodes. Hua Long uses the chaos to his advantage. He calls Sun Ge and tells him the cargo was destroyed in the explosion. It gets him off the hook for now. But it also puts him directly on the police's radar. Things are about to get much harder for him.
