Episode Summary
Ma Yingjie's secret meeting with a female friend leads to a huge fight with Tang Xiaowei, and he moves out temporarily. Liu Guoning accidentally breaks a priceless handmade gift belonging to Sun Jiayu but gets it repaired by Ma Yingjie, saving their friendship. A New Hobby, Same Old Attitude
Ma Yingjie has discovered a new talent. He's surprisingly good at fixing collectible figures. Liu Guoning and Da Bai are so impressed they immediately ask him to be their teacher. Because Ma Yingjie took a Coke from Liu Guoning first, he's now the "senior apprentice." It's all very silly.
Tang Xiaowei comes home and sees this whole master-apprentice ceremony. She is not impressed. She sarcastically suggests he could find broken junk online, fix it, and sell it. A real "magic touch" for his resume.
The Secret Friend
Ma Yingjie has decided to pause his job search until after the Spring Festival.He also has a female friend, Huo Tongtong, visiting Beijing. He wants to meet up with her. He worries Tang Xiaowei might get the wrong idea, so he just doesn't tell her.
Tang Xiaowei is sharp, though. She can tell something is off with him, but he won't come clean. Of course, the truth comes out in the worst way. Tang Xiaowei is out shopping with their son, Ma Ziheng, and spots Ma Yingjie with another woman. Her appetite is gone. She takes their son and goes straight home.
That night, she confronts him. Their son, Ma Ziheng, already gave his dad a heads-up, so Ma Yingjie tells the truth. He insists he and Huo Tongtong are just friends. Tang Xiaowei is furious. Ma Yingjie gets fed up with the fighting. He decides to pack a bag and stay somewhere else for a few days to let things cool down. Ma Ziheng is heartbroken watching his dad leave, but his mom tells him not to interfere.

The Broken Gift
Liu Guoning is obsessed with rollerblading. He wears his skates everywhere. He and Da Bai go over to Sun Jiayu's house. He accidentally skates right into a table and breaks a gift. This wasn't just any gift. It was a handmade present from Sun Jiayu's mom for her 12th birthday. You can't buy another one online.
Sun Jiayu is livid. She's never been this angry. She screams at Liu Guoning to get out of her house. She even forbids her brother from ever saying Liu Guoning's name again. Liu Guoning is terrified he's lost his friend for good.
The Repair Job
He begs his dad, Liu Xiangshang, to help him fix it. Liu Xiangshang's repair skills are terrible. He messes with it all afternoon and gets nowhere. They have only one option left. They have to ask Ma Yingjie for help.
Ma Yingjie fixes the gift quickly, making it look brand new. Liu Guoning takes it back to Sun Jiayu. The second he sees how happy she is, he knows he's forgiven.
Big News for the Adults
An Unexpected Test
Dai Jing has been feeling off lately. She's tired, nauseous, and has no energy. She goes to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor tells her she might be pregnant. Dai Jing is completely surprised.
She goes home to tell Liu Xiangshang. But her timing is awful. He's in the middle of a rant about their kids. He's stressed from their troublemaking and bad grades. He says he's starting to become afraid of children. Hearing this, Dai Jing decides to keep her news to herself for now.
The next evening, Liu Xiangshang asks her what was on her mind. She finally tells him. His reaction is not what she expected. He's happy. He tells her he's excited for another child. He says he can support them. All she has to do is give birth.
A Smart Solution
Enran's mom is pushing her way too hard over the winter break. She's exhausted from studying and isn't allowed to rest. Shiwu tries to reason with Enran's mom, but it's useless. So, he and Enran come up with a plan together. They propose a new study method. They'll learn English by watching cartoons. They manage to convince her mom, and Enran is thrilled to get a break.
