Episode Summary
In this episode, Dai Jing's attempt to teach her children the value of money backfires when their grandparents arrive and give them 10,000 yuan each. The kids, Liu Guoning and Liu Guobao, go on massive spending sprees that end in disaster. Their parents are forced to stage elaborate interventions to teach them a lesson about wastefulness and the consequences of their actions.

The Allowance Experiment Goes Sideways
Dai Jing decides her kids are too wasteful. So, she cuts their allowances way down. Liu Guoning gets 30 yuan and Liu Guobao gets a measly 5. Of course, they protest. Liu Xiangshang steps in with a solution. He tells them they can earn money by doing chores. Mopping the floor and washing dishes now come with a price tag.
The kids immediately jump on it. But this creates a new problem. They start fighting over the chores that pay more. Liu Guobao gets a little too smart about it. She figures out the exact number of dishes she needs to wash to fund her day. Once she hits her target, she stops working. This drives Dai Jing crazy, but Liu Xiangshang tries to see the bright side. At least it's a start.
The Grandparents Arrive with Cash
Just as they're trying to teach the kids about hard work, Dai Jing's parents show up. Dai Jing immediately worries that something is wrong. Her parents announce they're giving their life savings to the family. They hand over passbooks to Dai Jing and her brother, Dai Bing.
Then they do something that completely wrecks Dai Jing's entire plan. They give Liu Guoning and Liu Guobao 10,000 yuan each. They tell the kids to spend it however they want. Dai Jing and Dai Bing try to refuse the money, but their parents won't take no for an answer.
Later, Dai Jing confronts her mom about the money and almost makes her faint. Her dad pulls her aside and explains what’s really going on. Her mom had a health scare and fainted once before. After she recovered, she became obsessed with giving all their money to the grandkids. He's just trying to keep his wife happy.
Two Kids, Two Disasters
The kids, now flush with cash, decide to show off. Liu Guoning and Liu Guobao take their friends on separate spending sprees. Liu Xiangshang tries to stop Guoning, but his father-in-law gets in the way. The kids feel invincible with their grandparents backing them up.
Guoning's Buffet Blowout
Liu Guoning starts by treating his friends Dabai and Sun Jiayu to dessert. Then he gets a bigger idea. He takes them to a buffet and tells Dabai to invite the whole class. The situation gets way out of hand. Classmates start bringing their own friends and even relatives. Guoning doesn't know half the people there.
The bill comes to over 12,000 yuan. He can't pay it. Panicking, he goes outside to ask Sun Jiayu for help. It turns out Sun Jiayu had already talked to Liu Xiangshang. She agreed to help teach Guoning a lesson. The restaurant threatens to call the police. Just in time, Sun Jiayu steps in and pays the remaining 2,000 yuan.
Guobao's Toy Store Trap
Liu Guobao is also out spending her money. She turns off her phone's location tracking so Dai Jing can't find her. Dai Jing has to call Tang Xiaowei, who finds out from her son that they're at a toy store. She gets Ma Yingjie to secretly follow them.
Dai Jing and Ma Yingjie set up an elaborate trap. They even hire a child actor named Xinran to help. The plan is to teach Guobao a lesson about wastefulness. In the toy store, Guobao's friends all refuse to buy anything. They talk about how hard their parents work for money.
Later, Guobao finds an old glove and throws it in the trash. The actor, Xinran, shows up and starts crying. She says the glove was a special gift from her mother. Guobao feels terrible and tries to find it, but it's gone. Ma Yingjie took it as part of the act. Dai Jing and the other parents watch from a distance.
Guobao buys Xinran new gloves and takes everyone for dessert to apologize. During dessert, Xinran and the other kids gang up on her. They tell her since she has so much money, she should just give them some. This is the last straw for Guobao. She bursts into tears and runs out of the store, right into Dai Jing, who takes her home.
