Episode Summary
In this episode, the friends successfully trick Lao Yang and Lao Yuan into reconciling, allowing the wedding to proceed. Back home, Dai Jing faces pressure to quit her job, Liu Xiangshang turns down a partnership, and a misunderstanding creates a new rival for Tang Xiaowei's affection.

Operation: Make Friends Make Up
The gang had a plan for Lao Yang and Lao Yuan. It was simple. No one would give Lao Yang a place to crash. This would force him to stay with Lao Yuan. They hoped the two would finally talk through their problems.
Lao Yang didn't have his phone or his ID. He couldn't get his own hotel room. He first tried staying with Fifteen and Liu Guoning. They just blasted their video games and acted super loud. Lao Yang couldn't stand it, so he left.
Next, he went to Liu Xiangshang. But Liu Xiangshang was sharing a room with Dai Jing and Liu Guobao. There was no space. Plus, Lao Yang had no cash, and Liu Xiangshang didn't have any to give him. He was out of options.
He ended up trying to sleep on a couch in the hotel lobby. Of course, a staff member told him he couldn't sleep there. Just then, Lao Yuan came downstairs and saw him. He told Lao Yang to come up to his room. The plan worked.
A Prenup and a Shredder
Lao Yang went to the room. They started drinking and talking. And they actually cleared the air. Lao Yang realized that Lao Yuan really does care about his mom. He agreed to the marriage. He admitted the whole prenup thing at the ceremony was just humiliating for everyone.
To show he was serious, Lao Yuan signed the prenup right there in the room. This put Lao Yang's mind at ease. The next day, the wedding happened. It went smoothly.
Later, after everyone was back in Beijing, Lao Yang took that signed agreement to his office. He fed it straight into the paper shredder.
Back to Reality
School Starts, Mary Disappears
The vacation ended. A new semester began. All the parents were busy getting school supplies. You can tell they've gotten the hang of this by now. Tingting was helping promote the back-to-school bundles from Jiang Feihu's mom's shop. It was a smart idea, and parents were buying them up.
But there was some real drama. Fifteen couldn't get ahold of Mary. She wasn't at school, either. Another classmate finally heard what happened. Mary's father's business failed. She and her dad already went back to their home country. Fifteen is obviously very worried about her.
Trouble at the Office
Dai Jing got called into a private meeting with Chen Jing. Chen Jing told her the company is preparing for massive layoffs. She was really just trying to scare Dai Jing into quitting on her own.
Dai Jing saw right through it. She told Chen Jing she would not be resigning. If the company wanted to fire her, they needed to be ready to talk about a serious compensation package.
Director Zhu called Liu Xiangshang to his new company. The office looked great. Zhu had an offer for him. His previous business partner left unexpectedly. He wanted Liu Xiangshang to become the new partner. Liu Xiangshang turned him down. He said that he and Dai Jing have a good balance at home. Taking the partnership would probably throw their whole family life out of whack.
A Couple's Cold War and a New Rival
The Conversation They Aren't Having
That night, Dai Jing and Liu Xiangshang had a little chat. She was trying to figure out how he really felt about her parenting style. He knows she's a powerhouse at work. He told her he admired her career and thought she was doing a great job with the kids.
He also tried to gauge her opinion of his own contributions. She praised his methods. She pointed out that they never fight about the kids' education like other couples do. They both heard what they wanted to hear. So, they didn't push the conversation any deeper.
A New Suitor Appears?
Dong Ke visited Tang Xiaowei at her shop. He told her about a community training class for business owners. It covers advertising laws and only takes two hours a day. He suggested she should check it out.
While he was there, a delivery for the shop arrived. The driver refused to help bring the boxes inside. Dong Ke stepped in and helped her carry everything. Ma Ziheng saw this from outside. He thought Dong Ke was hitting on his mom. He immediately called his dad, Ma Yingjie, to come down.
Ma Yingjie and Ma Ziheng walked into the store. Ma Ziheng treated Dong Ke like a total rival.
