Episode Summary
We learn that Jiang Yuwen started the time loop eight years ago by injecting himself with RAN-01. Now, he's rapidly aging and trying to kill Mo Yuanzhi to get Moma back. Mo Yuanzhi traps Maggie, revealing his true motive: he needs Jiang Yuwen's data to create a cure for the woman he loved, Feng Wanqing, whom Jiang Yuwen killed with an unstable drug. Ding Qi rescues Maggie from the lab just as Jiang Yuwen, strapped with bombs, heads to Moma for a final showdown, while Mo Yuanzhi creates a diversion to escape the building.

The Origin of the Loop
We flash back eight years. Jiang Yuwen breaks into a lab at Qingtengwan University. He injects himself with a drug called RAN-01. Then he dumps the rest of it down the drain. The drug seeps into the river. This is the moment that kicks off his time loop.
At first, he just keeps injecting himself. Then he figures out he can use the loop to his advantage. He memorizes the winning lottery numbers. He sends them to Maggie's mother. So that's how their family got rich.
A guy named You Yuxiang notices something is very wrong. He has a coral sundial that tracks the days. It should have 365 marks for the year. It has over 400. He tells Jiang Yuwen that time itself must be changing. He says plants and animals don't lie.
Desperate Moves
Back in the present, Jiang Yuwen is in bad shape. His time is running out. He tells Tang Shaorong and Han Song that he needs Mo Yuanzhi's core technology. It's the only way to take over Moma.
Tang Shaorong tries to outmaneuver Mo Yuanzhi. He brings secretly recorded files to a shareholder meeting. But Mo Yuanzhi is always one step ahead. He turns the tables and gets rid of both Tang Shaorong and Han Song.
Jiang Yuwen is getting more desperate. He decides to just kill Mo Yuanzhi. He plants a bomb in the cake at the Zhao family wedding.
Mo Yuanzhi's Trap
We're now in the fifth loop. Mo Yuanzhi has already kidnapped Tang Xin and Han Yufei. He acts like nothing happened. He finds Maggie and invites her to his private lab. He says it's for a tour.
Ding Qi finds out Tang Xin and Han Yufei are missing. He immediately heads to the lab to confront Mo Yuanzhi.
Inside the lab, Mo Yuanzhi makes his move. He shuts off the cameras. He rips Maggie's bag away from her. Then he locks her inside the room. He tells her he knows exactly who she is and why she's there. We learn that Jiang Yuwen is aging incredibly fast because of that first RAN injection. He thinks Mo Yuanzhi created an antidote. He sent Maggie to get Moma back for him.
The Big Reveal
Ding Qi uses An Lan's keycard to get into the main experimental area. He has Yu Peishan searching for Jiang Yuwen's files. She can't find anything. Ding Qi tells her to drop the age filter and search again.
Mo Yuanzhi finally explains everything. He and Jiang Yuwen each hold half of the original RAN data. The real reason he's hunting Jiang Yuwen is because of Feng Wanqing. She was the woman he loved. Jiang Yuwen injected her with an unstable version of RAN. It killed her. But first, it made her suffer five times as much in her final moments.
Mo Yuanzhi admits he needs Jiang Yuwen's half of the data. He wants to create a drug to save Feng Wanqing. He says he will kill anyone who stands in his way.
The Escape
Ding Qi sees Mo Yuanzhi leave the lab. He tries to get into the room where Maggie is trapped. The password has been changed. Ding Qi remembers an old trick. He goes to find chemicals to make aqua regia, a powerful acid that can dissolve metal.
Mo Yuanzhi takes Maggie's phone. He sends a text to Jiang Yuwen. "I have both your daughters."
Inside the lab, Maggie touches a painting on the wall. It opens a secret door. She tries to guess a password to access a nitrogen tube. She fails too many times. A self-destruct system kicks in. Gas starts pouring into the room. She hits the fire suppression system to prevent an explosion. The lack of oxygen makes her pass out right by the door.
Just in time, Ding Qi's acid works. He melts through the lock and breaks in. He grabs Maggie and carries her out. Mo Yuanzhi is one step ahead again. He tells all the security guards to go home. Then he shuts down every camera in the building.
The Standoff Begins
Yu Peishan finally gets a hit on Jiang Yuwen. She sends his file and photo to Ding Qi. Ding Qi recognizes him. He saw this man at the lecture and at the wedding explosion.
Jiang Yuwen straps a vest of explosives to his body. He leaves his apartment, ready for a final confrontation. Ding Qi tries to call him, but he left his phone at home.
Ding Qi calls Duan Zheng for police backup at the Moma building. In the parking garage, Ding Qi spots Mo Yuanzhi's car driving away. The police use the city's camera network to track the car. It's heading toward the port.
Hao Xin sends Ding Qi photos from inside Jiang Yuwen's apartment. Ding Qi immediately tells Duan Zheng that Jiang Yuwen has a bomb. The police pull over Mo Yuanzhi's car. He's not in it. The driver says he got out in the garage.
Ding Qi realizes Mo Yuanzhi played them. He tells Duan Zheng to seal off the entire Moma building immediately.
