Episode Summary
The loop resets for the fourth time, and Ding Qi theorizes that Jiang Yuwen faked his death in the lab fire. An Lan discovers a link between her missing friend Feng Wanqing and the Moma Group, while a flashback reveals Mo Yuanzhi secretly treated Feng Wanqing's pain when he was an intern. Yu Shiya successfully spies on Mo Yuanzhi, obtaining a key password, but is later shocked by a discovery in the lab. The episode ends with Ding Qi finding a compromising photo in Ye Kun's house, connecting Mo Yuanzhi to more key figures.

The Old Lab Fire
Digging Up the Past
Ding Qi is still chasing down leads. He goes to the underground lab to get a feel for the place. Duan Zheng is also on the case. He confronts Huang Yuan with the old files from the fire. Huang Yuan tries to play it off. He says it was just a small fire case back then. He claims he had no idea it would connect to the Moma Group.
Duan Zheng isn't buying it. He drags Huang Yuan to the actual lab, the scene of the fire. He wants answers. Huang Yuan finally starts talking. He lays out the timeline for Ding Qi and Duan Zheng. According to the security footage, Jiang Yuwen walked into the lab at 8:05 PM. A lot of students saw him go in, including Mo Yuanzhi. But there’s no proof he ever came out. Just thirty seconds later, the whole place exploded.
Mo Yuanzhi had a perfect alibi for that time. The police also searched for Jiang Yuwen for a long time but never found anything. Huang Yuan adds another strange detail. After the fire, a man named You Yuxiang told him he saw Mo Yuanzhi kill Jiang Yuwen with a dagger. But when Huang Yuan investigated the scene, he found no blood. He also never found a body.
So who lost the most in the fire? Huang Yuan says it was Mo Yuanzhi. He had a nearly complete dataset for a major breakthrough. The fire destroyed all of it.
A New Theory
Ding Qi isn't satisfied. He watches the surveillance footage over and over. He spots something. The number of firefighters who entered the room doesn't quite match the number who left.
He goes back to the lab one more time. He finds a large cabinet inside. An idea starts to form. He gets inside the cabinet himself to test it. What if Jiang Yuwen started the explosion himself? He could have worn a firefighter's uniform and hidden in the cabinet to survive the blast. Then, when the real firefighters came in to put out the fire, he could have just blended in with them and walked right out.
Just as he figures this out, Ding Qi emerges from the cabinet and collapses on the floor.
The Loop Resets
The Fourth Day
Ding Qi wakes up. It's the fourth loop. He has this feeling that he has died before. Everyone is back to their starting positions. He immediately gets on the group chat and starts giving out assignments.
An Lan is at her station when her experiment data suddenly changes. She quickly records the new results. She then gets a text from an unknown number. It's Ding Qi. He tells her the patient's condition at the sanatorium has changed.
An Lan rushes to see her mother. She is shocked and overjoyed to see her mother's eyes open. But just as quickly, her mother's eyes close again.
Secrets and Spies
Just like Yu Shiya predicted, Mo Yuanzhi shows up at Moma in the early morning. They have a short conversation in the hallway and go their separate ways. This was all part of the plan. Yu Shiya uses the opportunity to get past the main security gate. She also manages to record the password Mo Yuanzhi uses to access the core area.
Later, Yu Shiya is in the lab. She sees something that completely shocks her. She quietly closes the door and leaves without a word.
Mo Yuanzhi knows Yu Shiya hired a private detective. He confronts her about it. He guesses she told the police their marriage was just for his money. He pulls her close and whispers that feelings fade, but interests do not. He tells her they are a perfect match. Yu Shiya asks him directly if he killed Jiang Yuwen. He pauses for a moment, then says no.
Closing In
An Lan's Investigation
An Lan is still trying to find out what happened to her friend, Feng Wanqing. She searches the company's electronic files but finds nothing. The system eventually locks her out for trying to access internal pages. An admin named Judy tells her that while she can't see the digital files, the paper archives are open for viewing.
In the archive room, An Lan creates a distraction to get Judy out of the way. She quickly takes pictures of the files she needs. The documents seem to confirm it. Feng Wanqing's disappearance is definitely connected to the Moma Group.
A Flashback and a Discovery
We get a flashback to 2014. Mo Yuanzhi was an intern at a hospital. Feng Wanqing was a patient there with a stage 4 spinal tumor. He mistook her for the doctor who was supposed to be supervising him. He saw how much pain she was in. He asked the director to increase her medication, but the request was denied. So, Mo Yuanzhi snuck into her room and increased the dosage himself.
Back in the present, Ding Qi has his team looking into multiple people. He tells Yu Peishan to dig up info on Ye Kun, Jiang Yuwen, and someone named Maggie. Da Kai is sent to the film studio to keep an eye on Ye Kun.
Ding Qi sneaks into Ye Kun's house to look for clues. While he's there, he finds stamps. He also finds a photograph hidden behind a curtain on the wall. The photo is of Mo Yuanzhi, Han Songtang, and Shao Rong.
At the same time, Gu Song sees Mo Yuanzhi drive home. Mo Yuanzhi pauses his car in Yu Shiya's parking spot for a moment before going inside. Yu Shiya is outside, hesitating to use her key card. Suddenly, the door opens. It's Mo Yuanzhi. He takes her hand, pulls her in, and holds her.
