In this episode, Zhan Cui's plan to expose Bai Di ends in his death and her arrest. The police raid is successful but tragic. The Trap for Bai Di

Zhan Cui's Desperate Plan

So, Duo Zai can't get ahold of Si Yan Hao. He's worried. He should be. Si Yan Hao is completely lost to drugs. He's not coming back anytime soon.

Over at Zhan Cui's place, Ruan Yongwei is helping out. She's putting the daughter, Mianhua, to sleep. Zhan Cui is so grateful for her. She tells Ruan Yongwei that she was the one who helped her give birth. She's been helping them both ever since.

Zhan Cui finally admits something. She knew her husband, Bai Di, was acting strange for a while. She even thought about killing him and herself. But she couldn't do it because of her daughter. Now, she's ready to help the police. Ruan Yongwei tells her to just act normal. Don't let Bai Di know anything is up.

The cops get a tip from Zhan Cui. Bai Di just got a new shipment of drugs. Luo Zhongkui decides to move. He plans a raid for that night. They want to shut down this distribution point for good.

A Raid Goes Sideways

The police start tailing Bai Di after he leaves his music shop. Zhi An stays behind. He's watching the shop and waiting for Zhan Cui. But she doesn't come out.

Inside, Zhan Cui is working. She figured out how to crack the electronic lock on Bai Di's office. She gets the door open. The second she does, Bai Di gets an alert on his phone. He knows someone is in his office. He turns his car around and speeds back.

Zhan Cui finds what she's looking for. She discovers a huge stash of "stamps," which is their code for the drugs. They're hidden behind a bookcase. She quickly takes a picture and sends it to Luo Zhongkui. She closes the hidden door and turns around. Bai Di is standing right there.

He absolutely loses it. He beats her savagely.

Luo Zhongkui sees the picture. He knows she's in serious danger. He and his team storm the shop. Bai Di knows he's caught. He figures he'll just do a few years in prison. Then he makes a fatal mistake. He threatens Zhan Cui with their daughter.

That's it for her. She snaps. She grabs a paper cutter from a nearby desk. She stabs Bai Di. He dies before the ambulance can even get there. Ruan Yongwei shows up, but it's too late. All she can do is watch the police take a stunned Zhan Cui away.

The Fallout

Duo Zai's Guilt and a New Ally

Duo Zai is busy with his own problems. He meets Yang Yipeng in a cemetery. Yang Yipeng drops a bombshell. He says a guy nicknamed "The Chef" killed Ma Yong. And The Chef is actually Mou Sen. Ma Yong was just caught in the crossfire. Yang Yipeng declares that Mou Sen is his sworn enemy. He asks Duo Zai if he knows where Mou Sen is. Duo Zai lies. He says he has no idea.

Yang Yipeng doesn't push it. He changes the subject. He mentions that Zhan Cui, the single mom, has relapsed. He suspects Mou Sen is the one who got her hooked again.

Later, Duo Zai uses his hacking skills. He gets into Tang Jinshan's online platform. He's shocked to find it's a front for a massive drug operation. Just as he's digging around, Yang Yipeng shows up. He tracked Duo Zai to his hideout.

Duo Zai remembers his friend A Zhen talking about Zhan Cui. He feels a pang of guilt. He decides to go check on her the next day. He gets to the music shop and sees that something terrible has happened. Zhi An is there and spots him. Duo Zai tries to run, but Zhi An cuts him off. Duo Zai still manages to escape. Zhi An just watches him go, his face full of disappointment.

The Mastermind's Next Move

Back with the bad guys, Li Haipeng has an idea. He suggests they get Duo Zai hooked on drugs. It would make him easier to control. Mou Sen shuts that down immediately. He says Duo Zai is different. It might backfire.

In prison, Zhan Cui is only thinking about her daughter. She begs Ruan Yongwei to find a good family to adopt Mianhua.

That night, Duo Zai goes to a bar looking for Si Yan Hao. The bouncers just toss him out. Yang Yipeng happens to be there and steps in to help him. Inside, Si Yan Hao is completely high. He doesn't recognize his old friend. He even tells the bouncers to keep hitting Duo Zai.

After the whole mess, Yang Yipeng puts the pieces together. He realizes the police raid on the music shop wasn't an accident. Someone set the whole thing up.
