Episode Summary
In this episode, alliances shift as Situ Ling decides to help Ji Bozai. Princess Tianji confronts Mu Qibai about Chao Yu's death, while Chao Xuan makes a deal with his brother's killer. Ji Bozai commits to trusting Ming Yi, who finally lets go of her own doubts. The climax sees the Divine Lord awaken, learn the truth from Ji Bozai, and imprison his own brother, Mu Qibai.

A Dangerous New Partnership
Situ Ling’s hands are covered in blood. Fu Yue sees this and panics. She worries that if he keeps fighting Mu Qibai, he’ll make an enemy of the entire Jixing Yuan. Situ Ling doesn’t see it that way. He thinks Mu Qibai’s number one enemy is Ji Bozai. The enemy of his enemy is his friend. So, he plans to help Ji Bozai.
The Princess Makes Her Move
Princess Tianji goes to see Mu Qibai herself. She tells him she's moving Ming Yi into the Shouhua Pan Palace. Then she gets to the real point. She demands to know why a burnt corpse from the Chasing Water Spirit Continent showed up in his territory. Mu Qibai’s face changes. He clearly didn’t expect Chao Yu’s death to be discovered so soon. He keeps his cool, though. He doesn't reveal the body's identity.
After the princess leaves, she knows she can’t touch Mu Qibai just yet. The only person who can truly awaken the Divine Lord is Yan Xiao. He’s the key to everything.

While the political games heat up, the personal drama is just as intense. It all comes down to trust.
Ming Yi's Impossible Choice
The next morning, Twenty-Seven thanks Bu Xiu for his help. To repay the debt, he offers Bu Xiu three favors. Bu Xiu doesn't want anything. Twenty-Seven suggests they go fishing, but Bu Xiu sees right through him. He knows Twenty-Seven is the one who really wants to fish.
Later, Bu Xiu visits Ming Yi. He finds her alone and upset. Ming Yi knows she has feelings for Ji Bozai. But if she gets the Fleeting Dream, she will lose his trust forever. Their connection would be completely severed.
Ji Bozai's Unwavering Trust
Ji Bozai is at his master's memorial. He reflects on everything he and Ming Yi have been through. He’s finally made peace with it all. He doesn't care about her past anymore. All that matters is that she is genuine with him now. He decides that no matter what happens, his heart is set. He will never doubt her again.
The Fallout from a Murder
A death always has consequences. This one brings a brother looking for revenge and a coward trying to save his own skin.
A Brother's Botched Revenge
Chao Xuan learns that his brother, Chao Yu, is dead. He immediately rushes to Jixing Yuan to get revenge. He wants to kill Sun Liao. Sun Liao panics. He quickly spills a secret. Mu Qibai is secretly raising a young demon beast.
So, Chao Xuan storms into Mu Qibai’s residence. He threatens him. He demands that Mu Qibai hand over the beast. Mu Qibai isn't impressed at all. He actually tells Chao Xuan to help him pin all the blame on his dead brother. In exchange, Mu Qibai promises Chao Xuan can take all the credit and glory in Jixing Yuan. After thinking it over, Chao Xuan agrees to the deal.
A Secret Revealed
Situ Ling goes to see Ming Yi. He tries to hide the truth about the burnt body. But Ming Yi is sharp. She notices a wound on his wrist. She keeps asking about it. Finally, he admits he had to kill Chao Yu. Ming Yi shows concern, and Situ Ling can’t hide his happiness.
In some good news, Zhang Tai gets a spiritual vein. Ming Yi is genuinely happy for her friend. Zhang Tai admits she’s known for a while that Ming Yi is not who she seems. But she doesn't press it. She just tells Ming Yi to cherish Ji Bozai. Everyone can see how much he cares for her. Ming Yi looks over at Ji Bozai. In that moment, all her doubts just melt away.
The Divine Lord Awakens
The episode builds to a massive confrontation. The person everyone has been waiting for is finally back in the game.
A Secret Meeting
That night, Yan Xiao puts all the medicine from Mu Qibai into the Divine Lord's soup. He personally serves it to him. Just then, Princess Tianji asks to meet with Yan Xiao. She tells him their entire history. She tearfully begs him for help. Yan Xiao says nothing. He just takes out his magical artifact and gives it to her. He'll pretend he was never there tonight.
Ji Bozai takes Ming Yi to their favorite scallion pancake shop. She tries to explain that she was under a spell when she said certain things. But Ji Bozai says he believes what she said came from the heart.
Then, the Divine Lord wakes up. He summons only Ji Bozai for a private meeting. He learns everything Mu Qibai has been doing all these years. Ji Bozai remembers what Ming Yi once said about the Divine Lord. He decides to trust him one more time.
The Brothers Face Off
The next day, the Divine Lord summons Mu Qibai. The two brothers finally confront each other. Mu Qibai drops the act. He yells at his brother for being weak and indecisive for years. He claims that weakness is why Jixing Yuan was held back. The argument ends with the Divine Lord throwing Mu Qibai into a jail cell.
