Episode Summary
Xu Yan firmly rejects Jiang Liang's advances, which makes Shen Haoming both jealous and happy. He tries to assert his dominance, but Xu Yan shuts him down cold. Both Shen Haoming's brother and mother tell him to swallow his pride and apologize to win her back. Meanwhile, Lin Tao tries to sabotage Qiao Lin and Yu Yiming's relationship with a misleading photo, causing Qiao Lin to doubt Yu Yiming. The episode ends with Shen Haoming and Yu Yiming, both struggling with their relationships, forming an alliance to help each other win back the women they love.

Jiang Liang Makes His Move
So, Jiang Liang is still trying to dig himself out of a hole with Xu Yan. He follows her around, insisting he was just "mentoring" those other women. He says he was encouraging them to be positive. The excuse sounds pretty weak, even to him.
He quickly changes tactics. He tells her he hasn't met the right person yet. He promises he'll be completely devoted when he finally does. It's a pretty obvious play for her. Xu Yan gets it. She shuts him down gently but firmly. She says he's a great investor in her eyes. She doesn't want any other factors to ruin that good image. That's a classy way of saying "thanks, but no thanks."
Shen Haoming Is Not Having It
Guess who was watching this whole exchange. Shen Haoming. And he is practically radiating jealousy. He sees Xu Yan trying to leave, so he swoops in. He tries to assert his dominance right in front of Jiang Liang. It's a real power move.
But Xu Yan isn't the same person she was. She doesn't engage. She just walks away, leaving the two of them to argue. Later, Shen Haoming corners her at the elevator. He holds the door open, refusing to let her leave. He actually admits he was happy she rejected Jiang Liang. Xu Yan stays focused. She tells him she will handle the public opinion about them. She wants to make sure their next attempt to get a divorce goes smoothly. When he won't move his hand from the door, he puts his foot in the way. She just kicks his foot out of the way without a second thought. It was perfect.
Everyone Has Advice for Shen Haoming
It seems like everyone can see what the problem is except for Shen Haoming himself. His pride is getting in his own way, and his family is starting to call him out on it.
A Brother's Scolding
His brother, Shen Haochen, tries to set them up. He invites them both to help him pick a horse, hoping they'll get some alone time. The plan fails. Xu Yan feels the tension and leaves almost immediately. Shen Haochen is baffled by his brother's behavior. He asks him why it's so hard to just apologize for being wrong. But Shen Haoming is stuck on his high horse. His brother tells him straight up that this attitude is never going to win Xu Yan back.
A Mother Knows Best
Even their mom, Yu Lan, steps in. She reminds Shen Haoming that Xu Yan was a truly good person. She genuinely loved their family and was sincere in her actions. Yu Lan wants him to chase after his wife. Her advice is simple. It's okay to make mistakes. But you have to be humble enough to apologize for them.
Trouble for Qiao Lin and Yiming
While the main couple implodes, the secondary couple is getting hit with drama from an unwanted source.
Lin Tao's Pathetic Plan
Lin Tao is still obsessed with Qiao Lin. He sees Yu Yiming with another woman and immediately takes a picture. He sends it to Qiao Lin, clearly trying to cause problems between them. Qiao Lin looks at the photo but doesn't overreact. She says she trusts Yu Yiming.
Lin Tao just doesn't get the hint. He keeps calling Qiao Lin his fiancée. She has to tell him very clearly that she has moved on. She's happy starting a new business with her sister. She wants him to move on, too.
A Seed of Doubt
That picture does get under Qiao Lin's skin, though. She even has a nightmare about it. She decides to confront Yu Yiming directly. She tells him that if he has found a new work partner he likes, she's willing to step aside. Yu Yiming knows she must have heard a rumor. He tries to explain, but Qiao Lin gets overwhelmed and leaves before he can finish.
Xu Yan sees that her sister is upset. She gives her some good advice. She tells Qiao Lin she needs to face Yu Yiming and talk it out. You can't run away from love. You have to face the problems head-on.
The Wingman Alliance is Born
This might be my favorite part of the episode. Yu Yiming shows up with flowers, looking for Qiao Lin. He asks Xu Yan where she is. Xu Yan encourages him to think hard about what Qiao Lin said to him.
Then, Shen Haoming and Yu Yiming meet up. Both of them are completely clueless about how to fix their relationships. So they make a pact. They decide to become each other's wingmen. They're going to help each other win back Xu Yan and Qiao Lin. Yu Yiming reminds Shen Haoming how genuinely happy Xu Yan looked on their wedding day. The two have officially formed a "love-seeking" partnership. This is going to be fun to watch.
