Episode Summary

A Sweet Moment with Grandma
The episode kicks off with Xu Yan and Qiao Lin showing off their new handmade clothes. They video call their grandma to give her a look. It’s a really sweet scene. Grandma is thrilled for them. She even drops some trendy new slang, which surprises them both.
After the call, Xu Yan tells Qiao Lin how much she wants their business to succeed. Her goal is simple. She wants to buy a small house and bring their grandma to live with them. It’s a grounded, relatable dream.
A Breakdown on the Road
The good vibes don't last long. Xu Yan’s delivery truck breaks down. She’s stranded. She calls for help, and guess who just happens to be driving by his old company? Shen Haoming.
He shows up with another vehicle to rescue her. And he doesn't just stand there. He actually gets his hands dirty and helps unload the truck. This is a huge change for him. You can see Xu Yan is a little touched by it, but she plays it cool. She just hands him a bottle of water. He tries to act casual, too. He claims he was only free because of a company team-building event. Sure, whatever you say.
A Moment of Vulnerability
They finally get a moment to talk. Xu Yan tells him she doesn't want to rely on his name or reputation. She is determined to make it on her own now. She doesn't want to go back to being trapped like she was before.
She also asks him to stop going after Jiang Liang. Shen Haoming looks a little annoyed by that. But Xu Yan explains that Jiang Liang sometimes has good points. Shen Haoming reluctantly agrees to a truce. Later, he's so exhausted that he falls asleep, his head resting on her shoulder. Xu Yan starts to push him away. The first big shipment of clothes for Yan Yi Fang arrives. It’s supposed to be a huge moment. But the quality is absolute garbage. It looks nothing like what they ordered.
At the same time, a bunch of online bloggers launch a coordinated smear campaign. They attack the brand from every angle. Naturally, customers start canceling their orders in droves. Xu Yan knows this isn't a coincidence. She can feel someone is pulling the strings behind the scenes.
An Offer of Help
Jiang Liang hears about the disaster. He immediately calls Xu Yan and offers to give her the money to fix it. It’s a genuinely kind and supportive move from him. Xu Yan is clearly touched. But she turns him down.
She tells him their friendship is one thing, but business is another. She refuses to let him clean up her messes. She also finds a silver lining. She says this whole crisis at least showed her the true colors of her investors.
The Enemy Reveals Himself
With her company on the brink of collapse, Xu Yan has to figure out who is trying to destroy her. And the answer comes right to her doorstep.
Rallying the Troops
Xu Yan gets back to the office and finds her team completely demoralized. She gives them a much-needed pep talk. She tells them to face the online criticism head-on and accept all the feedback. Then she tells them to start designing the third batch of products. They have to keep moving forward.
While this is happening, Qiao Lin gets bad news. Their investor, Mr. Zhang, wants his final payment immediately. It's a classic case of kicking them when they're down. Qiao Lin decides not to tell Xu Yan just yet. She doesn't want to pile on more stress.
Steve's Shady Proposal
Then, Steve shows up. He strolls in and points out all the problems Yan Yi Fang is having. He even suggests that someone must be orchestrating the whole thing. Then he lays his cards on the table. He offers to buy the resort deal from her for a very high price. There's just one condition. She has to publicly announce that her relationship with Shen Haoming is over.
Suddenly, it all clicks for Xu Yan. She remembers Jiang Liang saying someone was pushing this chaos along. She realizes Steve is the one trying to sabotage her.
Unwavering Trust
Shen Haoming’s assistant tells him that Steve went to see Xu Yan. Shen Haoming doesn't even flinch. He is completely confident that Xu Yan won't sell him out. He has total faith in her.
Friends to the Rescue
When everything goes wrong, you find out who your real friends are. Xu Yan and Qiao Lin have a few good people in their corner.
Lin Tao Steps Up
Lin Tao comes to visit the sisters. He walks in to find an investor yelling at Qiao Lin. Without missing a beat, Lin Tao jumps in. He uses his financial expertise to go over the accounts and completely shuts the guy down. Qiao Lin looks at him, impressed. This is not the same irresponsible guy she used to know. He’s actually putting in the work.
More Problems Arrive
Just as things couldn't seem to get any worse, a new wave of trouble hits. All of the company's suppliers show up at the office at the same time. They all demand their final payments. They claim the company's assets have been frozen, which is a lie.
Xu Yan sees exactly what this is. It's another coordinated attack designed to force her hand. She knows she can't just pay them off and let them walk away. If she does that, her business will never recover.
