Episode Summary
Wangquan Fugui confronts the Black Fox and reveals his ultimate plan. He lures the entity into his own body, trapping it. Using a combination of his powers and Qingtong's love seed, he sacrifices himself to completely destroy the Black Fox. His final act secures a future where humans and demons can coexist, though it costs him his life and forces Qingtong back into her spider form.

Fugui vs. The Black Fox
Wangquan Fugui finally breaks through the barrier. He steps outside the Circle and comes face-to-face with the Black Fox. The Fox doesn't waste any time. It tells Fugui to hand over his body. It says his mission is complete.
Of course, Fugui isn't going to just roll over. So the Black Fox starts playing mind games. It transforms into Wangquan Hongye, Fugui’s father. It wants to show Fugui the true power his father had at his peak.
While this is happening, a swarm of smaller black foxes is pouring out. Feng Tingyun, Li Xueyang, and Fan Yunfei have their hands full fighting them off. Back with Fugui, he rips the mask off the fake Hongye. Underneath, he sees his own face staring back at him. The Black Fox mocks him. It asks how he's any different from the Fox if he can strike down his own father's image.
The World Descends into Chaos
The smaller foxes are endless. You kill one, and two more take its place. Fugui tries to use his Pure Yang Flame to hold them back. He then uses the Water-Controlling Pearl to control the main Black Fox.
But the Fox has a trump card. It pulls all the smaller foxes back. Then it unleashes its real power. It infects everyone's minds with hatred. People start turning on each other. Friends and allies begin a chaotic, self-destructive slaughter. The Black Fox takes a physical form. Its goal is simple. It wants to take Fugui's body and use his power to wipe out every living thing.
Feng Tingyun and the others are trying to hold the line. They fight with everything they have. But it's useless. Their own people are killing each other. The few who remain sane decide to make a last stand. They will die defending their post.
The Ultimate Sacrifice
Fugui's Master Plan
This is where Fugui reveals his true plan. It was all a trap. He used the love seed Qingtong gave him to connect to the heart of the Bitterness Tree. He intentionally let the Black Fox get close. He offered his own body as a prison.
Fugui lures the Black Fox in. Then he merges his Wangquan Sword with his Pure Yang Flame. He unleashes this combined power to fight the Fox from within. We also learn the Water-Controlling Pearl can absorb the power of hatred. The Black Fox finally realizes it walked right into Fugui's trap. To completely destroy the Fox, Fugui sacrifices himself to the heavens, protecting everyone in the process.
A Final Goodbye
The Black Fox is completely annihilated. With his last ounce of life, Fugui pours his energy into the love seed from Qingtong. He believes love is the most powerful force. He hopes it will help create the peaceful world Qingtong always wanted.
He returns the Water-Controlling Pearl to Fan Yunfei. He entrusts the future of the world to them. He wants them to build a new era where humans and demons can finally live in peace.
We get a flashback explaining everything. Fugui knew how to defeat the Black Fox for a while. The problem was the plan required Qingtong's love seed, and using it would kill her. He couldn't find a solution that saved them both. Then, the hate energy infected him. He carved a Soul Cleansing Talisman on his umbrella just to stay sane. He tried to push everyone away for their own safety. But Qingtong refused to leave. She understood what he had to do. She willingly gave him her love seed.
Now, with his duty done, Fugui is ready to die. His soul will scatter, and he has no fear. His only feeling is guilt for what happened to Qingtong. He believes they will meet again someday and be together forever.
What Happens Next
A New World Order
Feng Tingyun takes over leadership of the family. She splits the "Wangquan" family name in two. The "Wang" family will guard the mainland. The "Quan" family will guard the borders.
Fan Yunfei, Li Xueyang, and Little Bun are seen telling Fugui's story. They talk about how his wish came true. They wish he could have been there to see it.
Qingtong's Fate
A single butterfly flutters away from Fan Yunfei. It lands near Qingtong. She has lost her human form. She is back to being a small spider. But she is not alone. Someone is there, staying by her side.
