Episode Summary

Bichen's Desperate Move
This episode kicks off with some serious drama. Yu Jingxiang finds out Bichen is pregnant with Xu Zhidong's baby. Her first thought is not about her future grandchild. It is about money. She starts making up excuses to postpone the wedding. She really just wants to weasel her way out of paying the 200,000 bride price.
Bichen is, understandably, furious. She has had enough of the Xu family's games. She breaks up with Zhidong. Then she goes straight to the hospital to schedule an abortion. She is not bluffing.
The Family Scrambles
Shen Mingzhu gets the news from Feng Meiqi. She knows this is a crisis. She calls Xu Zhixia right away. Zhixia drops everything and rushes to the hospital to stop Bichen. She is not alone. The entire Xu family follows her. They all show up to beg Bichen for forgiveness.
The group apology works. Bichen finally agrees to call off the procedure. But the stress of it all is too much for Mingzhu. She collapses from exhaustion. Li Jingzhe just happens to be there. He catches her before she hits the floor and rushes to help.

Zhidong Finally Steps Up
Jingzhe gets Mingzhu settled in a hospital bed. He is incredibly attentive. He fusses over her and refuses to let her get up and go to work. The way he cares for her reminds Mingzhu of her late husband, Feng Jianqi. The memories come flooding back.
While that is happening, Zhidong is trying to fix the mess he created. He finds Bichen and swears he will spend his life making her happy. He says he wants to welcome their new baby with her. Bichen admits she never really wanted to break up. All she ever needed was him. This is the moment Zhidong has been waiting for. He gets down on one knee and proposes. Bichen happily accepts.
The Truth About the Jade
Jingxiang is still dealing with the broken bracelet problem. She takes the shattered pieces to a jade specialist, Master Jin. He has been working with jade for decades. He takes one look at the fragments and tells her it is a complete fake.
Jingxiang is stunned. This means He Lihua gave Mingzhu a worthless family heirloom. The worst part is Jingxiang spent 100,000 of borrowed money to buy Mingzhu a real jade bracelet as a replacement. She does not regret the gift. She just feels awful about taking the money from Zhixia.
Xu Dacheng learns about the whole situation. He comes up with a plan. He says they should sign their house over to Zhidong and Bichen. Then he and Jingxiang will move back to their old hometown. From there, they can slowly pay Zhixia back. Jingxiang is touched that he is standing by her instead of blaming her.
Family Secrets and Bad Decisions
A Secret Move to the Country
Shen Minghui is still getting tutored by Hu Gang. He is also still a little schemer. When Hu Gang goes to the bathroom, Minghui secretly takes pictures of the test answers on the computer. At the same time, Ni Dani arrives to bring Hu Gang his lunch. He is thrilled to see her.
Jingxiang and Dacheng decide to go through with their plan. They pack their bags to move. They know Zhidong will try to stop them. So they lock him in his room, grab their luggage, and leave for the countryside.
The Cheating Scandal Blows Up
Zhidong gets out and immediately calls Zhixia. He tells her their parents just packed up and left. Zhixia is completely bewildered. She cannot understand why Dacheng would willingly go along with this. Zhidong then fakes a fever, goes to his parents' old house, and refuses to leave.
Back at school, the test results are in. Minghui got a 99. In fact, the entire class average is above 98. The principal is instantly suspicious. He accuses Hu Gang of leaking the exam. Hu Gang insists he is innocent. He points the finger at Minghui and demands to see the office security tapes. Minghui just smirks. He knows there are no cameras.
His victory is short-lived. Ni Dani shows up with lunch again. She sees Minghui giving Hu Gang a hard time. She does not hesitate. She marches over and gives Minghui a piece of her mind. He gets scared and runs to the principal's office to confess.
New Homes and Old Problems
Zhixia's Apartment Envy
Zhixia feels like she is missing something. She goes to her parents and asks for the whole story. Jingxiang finally confesses everything. She admits she used Bichen's bride price money for the bracelet. She also reveals that He Lihua's original bracelet was a fake.
Later, Zhixia delivers some eggs to Mingzhu's apartment. She is blown away by how nice the building is. She gets a serious case of apartment envy. At Mingzhu's place, He Lihua is annoyed that the eggs are from Mingzhu's birth mother. She starts bad-mouthing Jingxiang and Dacheng. Her husband, Feng Zhi, gets angry and yells at her before storming out. Mingzhu thinks his behavior is getting more and more erratic.
Zhixia goes home with an idea. She tells her husband, Zhang Hao, that they should sell their house. She wants to buy a place in Mingzhu's fancy complex. He tells her to forget it. They could never afford it.
Everyone Moves Back In
Zhidong and Bichen arrive at the old country house. His parents have locked the door. Zhidong holds up their official marriage certificate. That does the trick. Jingxiang and Dacheng throw the door open, overjoyed.
Bichen tells them she knows about the 100,000 for the bracelet. She says it does not matter. Zhidong already gave her all of his savings. She then asks them to move back in with them in the city. After all, she says, they will need help taking care of the baby.
So, the family packs up one more time and returns home. Jingxiang and Dacheng walk through the neighborhood, proudly telling everyone they can that Bichen is pregnant.
