Episode Summary
Feng Meiqi loses her potential boyfriend, Hu Gang, to Ni Dani and has a public meltdown after her attempts to win him back fail. Worried about her father-in-law's financial problems, Shen Mingzhu convinces him to transfer the house deed into her name to secure her child's future. At Xu Zhidong and Cui Bichen's wedding, family tensions explode when Xu Zhidong publicly reveals that Shen Mingzhu is his long-lost twin sister, breaking a fragile truce between their mothers.

Feng Meiqi Loses Her "Backup" Boyfriend
So, remember Hu Gang? He was chasing Feng Meiqi pretty hard. But she just wasn't into it. She basically used him as a shield from other guys. She ordered him around and then just kicked him to the curb.
Meiqi clearly thought he would come crawling back. She was wrong. Ni Dani saw her opening and went for it. It turns out she and Hu Gang have a lot in common. They talked, they clicked, and they fell for each other fast.
The Wi-Fi Trap
Things get messy at Bichen's wedding rehearsal. The power goes out. Meiqi calls Hu Gang to come fix it, but he makes an excuse and says no. Then, Ni Dani calls him, and suddenly he's on his way. That’s when Meiqi realizes what’s happening. She sees them together.
Meiqi can't handle this. In her mind, Ni Dani isn't on her level. She refuses to lose to her. So she comes up with a plan. She lies and says her Wi-Fi is broken, asking Hu Gang to come over and fix it.
The Meltdown
Hu Gang was actually going to go help her. He installed the network, after all. But Ni Dani was furious. She got a group together to go confront Meiqi at her house.
Meiqi sees them coming and loses it. She directs all her anger at Hu Gang. Shen Mingzhu tries to calm her down, but Meiqi just yells at her, too. Then she starts laying into Ni Dani.
Ni Dani doesn't back down. She calls Meiqi out on everything. She tells her she never cared about Hu Gang. He was just a backup plan. Now that he's happy with someone else, Meiqi suddenly can't stand it. Meiqi has no comeback. She just slams the door and leaves. Mingzhu runs right after her.
Later, Meiqi is at her brother Feng Jianqi's grave, just sobbing. Mingzhu is there to comfort her. Hu Gang actually feels bad seeing her so upset, but Dani tells him not to worry about it. When Mingzhu takes Meiqi home, Meiqi immediately asks her dad, Feng Zhi, for a favor. She gets him to deposit 100,000 into her hotel's account to boost her performance numbers. He agrees without a second thought.
Shen Mingzhu Secures Her Future
Shen Mingzhu is all about planning for her baby. As soon as she gets some money, she drags Ni Dani out to buy gold bars. She's saving it all for the kid.
She also tries to help out a friend. Xu Zhixia asks her to talk to her father-in-law, Feng Zhi. The goal is to get him to pull some strings for Zhang Hao's promotion. Mingzhu asks, but she doesn't hear anything back.
A Father-in-Law in Trouble
We get a hint that things aren't great with Feng Zhi's finances. A Mr. Zhao notices a 3,500 discrepancy on a prepaid card Feng Zhi used. He tells Mingzhu, and she just pays it for him. Feng Zhi finds out and tries to transfer the money back to her. That's when he sees his own account only has a few hundred left.
Mingzhu puts the pieces together. She realizes Feng Zhi is broke. She starts to worry that his business is failing. If that happens, it could affect her child's future. She thinks it over and makes a big decision.
The House Is Now Hers
Mingzhu wants the marital home transferred into her name.
Her mother-in-law, He Lihua, and sister-in-law, Feng Meiqi, are completely against it. They think she might have bad intentions. Mingzhu explains her logic. She wants the house in her name now, and she'll add the baby's name to the deed after it's born.
Feng Zhi supports her. He agrees to get the paperwork done. After they complete the transfer, He Lihua gives Mingzhu a list of rules. Feng Zhi also makes her promise one thing. No matter how tough things get, she can never sell the house. It's one of the last things they have to remember Feng Jianqi by. Mingzhu agrees.
Her own family, Yue Xiue, Shen Minghui, and Shen Shengli, are thrilled for her when they see the new property deed.
A Wedding Causes More Problems Than It Solves
The drama between the two families isn't over. Yu Jingxiang, Mingzhu's biological mother, tries to make peace. She personally delivers a wedding invitation to Shen Shengli and Yue Xiue. She hopes this will smooth things over.
An Olive Branch Between Mothers
At first, Yue Xiue is cold. She won't even let Jingxiang in the door. But Jingxiang apologizes sincerely. She promises she will never bring up the topic of "reclaiming" Mingzhu again. She says she's content just knowing Mingzhu is happy. This finally gets through to Yue Xiue, and she lets her inside.
They have a surprisingly warm chat. Yue Xiue even tells Jingxiang to take better care of herself. Jingxiang invites them to the wedding again, and this time, they agree to go.
The Big Reveal
The big day arrives. It's Cui Bichen and Xu Zhidong's wedding. All the friends and family are there. Mingzhu gets emotional during the ceremony. It makes her think about the wedding she never got to have with Feng Jianqi.
Then Xu Zhidong gets up to give a speech. He thanks his family. He professes his love for Cui Bichen. He also gives a special thank you to Shen Mingzhu for helping them save their baby.
And then he drops a bomb. He asks Shen Mingzhu to be their marriage witness. In front of everyone, he announces that she is his twin sister.
The room goes silent. Yue Xiue immediately stands up and protests. She reminds everyone that Yu Jingxiang promised to drop this. The situation gets incredibly awkward. Li Jingzhe jumps in to save the moment. He suggests Mingzhu play a song on the piano for everyone.
