Episode Summary
A false alarm over a missing dog leads to Yu Yu jumping into a pond. Xia Xiaoman returns from the hospital completely broke and drops a hint about wanting a car, which Yu Yu initially dismisses. To help her, Yu Yu makes a deal with Gu Yejia to convince her father to give up his motorcycle. Yu Yu succeeds, getting the bike for himself and also securing a five-car sale for Xia Xiaoman from the father's friends. The episode ends with Yu Yu and Gu Yejia sharing a quiet, awkward sunrise after the bike's farewell party.

A Dog, a Pond, and a Very Bad Decision
The episode kicks off with some pure chaos. Yu Yu goes to find Gu Yejia. He finds her in a full-blown panic. Her dog, Dao Ge, is missing.
Gu Yejia then spots a shape in the water. She’s convinced it’s Dao Ge. Before anyone can process this, Yu Yu just leaps into the water. No hesitation. He is all-in on this dog rescue mission.
Of course, it’s not the dog. It’s a toy. He pulls it out, and they both breathe a sigh of relief. Then they look over to the side. The real Dao Ge is just sitting there quietly. He’s watching them act like complete fools. It’s a perfect dog moment.
Back Home and Broke
Xia Xiaoman's Money Problems
Xia Xiaoman is finally out of the hospital. She sees that Dao Ge is happy and healthy. She has to admit that Yu Yu is actually pretty reliable sometimes. When she gets to her apartment with all her stuff, he even helps her carry her bags into the elevator.
But things are tough for her. We learn she is completely broke. She had to take an advance on next month's salary. She did this just to pay Yu Yu back for her hospital bills. This means her budget for the month is basically zero. She's going to be eating cheap.
An Awkward Car Conversation
Her financial situation leads to a few weird neighbor moments. She asks Yu Yu if she can borrow some seasoning. He responds by just giving her his entire collection of seasonings. He’s an odd guy, but his heart is in the right place.
Later, Yu Yu is out for a walk. He sees Xia Xiaoman talking to her dog. She's telling Dao Ge that he has become a picky eater. She says they can't afford it, so he needs to start a diet. Yu Yu overhears this. He offers to help out with dog food. Xia Xiaoman gets really embarrassed. She just grabs her dog and leaves.
That night, she’s in her apartment listening to the music Yu Yu is playing next door. It makes her feel a little sad. She suddenly gets up and runs to his apartment. She asks him a very direct question. Does he want to own a car?
Yu Yu gives the most Yu Yu answer possible. He just lists all the practical disadvantages of owning a car. He thinks he's being helpful. But it completely disappoints her. She just walks away.
Yu Yu's Grand Plan
The Deal with Gu Yejia
The car conversation clearly stuck with Yu Yu. He’s distracted at work the next day. He even draws a picture of a car and tells Gu Yejia she should buy it.
Gu Yejia tells him she has no plans to buy a car. But, she mentions her father just bought a new motorcycle. The problem is, he’s getting older. It’s not really safe for him to be riding it. This gives Gu Yejia an idea.
She makes a deal with Yu Yu. If he can convince her dad to give up the motorcycle, she will pay for a car for Xia Xiaoman.
Operation Win Over Dad
Yu Yu now has a new purpose. He starts spending time with Gu Yejia’s father every single day. They go for walks together. And somehow, it works. He convinces the old man to part with his beloved bike. The father even transfers the motorcycle's ownership directly to Yu Yu.
But Yu Yu doesn't stop there. He also persuades the dad and his biker friends to buy five cars from Xia Xiaoman's dealership. Xia Xiaoman is ecstatic when she hears the news. She feels like she’s about to become a millionaire. She promises her friends a huge celebratory dinner next month.
A Biker's Farewell
Gu Yejia’s father wants to hold a proper farewell ceremony for his motorcycle. Yu Yu, Gu Yejia, and Xia Xiaoman all go to the event.
We get to meet the dad’s biker crew. They are all older guys, but they are also serious fitness enthusiasts. They get into a friendly wrestling match with Yu Yu and take him down easily. Later that night, the old friends play music together. It’s a really nice, happy scene. Gu Yejia’s dad is obviously sad to give up his bike. But he accepts that some hobbies have to be let go as you get older.
An Awkward Sunrise
Yu Yu invites Gu Yejia to watch the sunrise with him. She finds his conversation style to be incredibly boring. He just talks and talks, explaining his logical view of the world. She eventually gets so bored she falls asleep on his shoulder.
Yu Yu, being a decent guy, just sits there motionless. He lets her sleep. When she finally wakes up, his arm is completely sore and numb. Gu Yejia is genuinely impressed by how Yu Yu handled the whole situation with her father.
The episode closes with the dad's friends officially buying the five cars from Xia Xiaoman's shop. Shen Wu sees the motorcycle Yu Yu got from the deal. He can't stop talking about how cool it is. Yu Yu also clearly loves his new bike.
