Episode Summary
Yejia dares Yu Yu to attend a matchmaking event, where he surprisingly acts as her protector by scaring off potential suitors. There, he meets Fei Wenli, a famous designer, and they hit it off immediately. This connection makes Yejia visibly jealous, though she won't admit it. The episode ends with Fei Wenli getting more involved in Yu Yu's life through a photoshoot, causing more confusion and tension for Yejia.

The Matchmaking Dare
So, we start with Gu Yejia eating some authentic noodles from Xia Xiaoman. They taste great. Yejia suggests Xiaoman should invite Yu Yu over to try them. Xiaoman is not confident about this idea. She thinks her cooking isn't good enough for a picky guy like Yu Yu.
Then, Yejia drops a bomb. She asks Xiaoman to go with her to a matchmaking event on the weekend. Yejia explains she made a deal with someone. She has to go, but she really doesn't want to. Before Xiaoman can even answer, they hear loud aerobics music from next door. They assume Yu Yu is working out again.
Yu Yu Accepts the Challenge
It turns out Yu Yu was just stretching with his music way too loud. The next day, he's back in the hospital. Surprise, surprise. Yejia sees him there and knows he wants something. She decides to use this to her advantage. She goads Yu Yu, daring him to go to the matchmaking event with her.
Yu Yu has a big ego. He says there's nothing he's scared to do. So, he accepts the dare. He gets all dressed up for the event. He actually looks pretty sharp. When he walks in, he turns a lot of heads.
Yu Yu the Unintentional Bodyguard
Yejia is also getting a ton of attention. A lot of guys come up to talk to her. This is where it gets good. Yu Yu becomes the perfect wingman, but not in the way you'd think. He uses his sharp tongue and blunt personality to shut down every single guy who approaches Yejia. They all back off pretty quickly.
While this is happening, a woman named Fei Wenli spots Yu Yu. She recognizes him immediately. He's a famous and kind of eccentric designer from overseas. Yu Yu just tells her he's there to fulfill a promise.

Xiaoman starts to worry. She thinks a guy like Yu Yu could actually get picked up by someone here. Yejia scoffs at this. She says no woman would ever be interested in someone as weird as him. She thinks Xiaoman's idea is impossible.

The second she says this, they both come out of the restroom. They see Yu Yu deep in conversation with a woman. That woman is Fei Wenli. They look like they're having the time of their lives, like they've known each other forever. Yejia's face just freezes. She doesn't even seem to realize her own reaction.
The Aftermath and a New Player
As Fei Wenli leaves, she secretly signals a colleague to snap a few photos of her and Yu Yu. She then drops Yu Yu off at his office. The gossip starts instantly. His coworkers are all talking about the beautiful woman who gave him a ride. Yu Yu doesn't think he did anything special. His friend Lin Sa is also very curious about it.
Later, Xiaoman grills Yu Yu about the woman from the event. He says they just had dinner and went for a walk. Xiaoman wants all the juicy details, but Fei Wenli herself shows up right then.
Xiaoman later tells Yejia that she met Fei Wenli. She says the woman is gorgeous and has a lot of charm. Yejia gets visibly uncomfortable. You can tell she's not happy about this. So when Yu Yu calls her, she just hangs up. She thinks it's not right for him to call her if he has a girlfriend. The lines are getting blurry.
A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words
Yu Yu goes to the hospital to find Yejia for a photo. Later, Fei Wenli is taking pictures for Yu Yu. He's impressed by how professional she is. He asks her to develop the photos for him. When she sees the developed pictures of Yejia, Fei Wenli realizes that's his doctor. She admits Yejia looks pretty good.
The episode winds down with a big photoshoot. Xiaoman sees her friends Wang Xiaoxiao and Shen Wu being all lovey-dovey and feels a little lonely. She wants to be in a relationship, too. At the same time, Fei Wenli is taking close-ups of Yu Yu. Shen Wu and Wang Xiaoxiao show up, wanting to see the famous photographer in action. Lin Sa complains that Yu Yu is making a huge deal out of a simple photoshoot. But even with the complaints, everyone ends up crowding together. They all take one big, happy group picture.
