The Big Reveal
So, we finally get the truth about that fight. Shen Wu gets back to the office and has no idea what just happened. He doesn't notice that Yu Yu swiped the USB drive from his computer. He just wonders why Yu Yu is back so early from his apology mission. Yu Yu plays it cool. He says he didn't go apologize yet. He claims he had a design drawing to finish first.
Shen Wu tries to use his own computer. It's turned off. Yu Yu, being super helpful all of a sudden, tells him to just use his laptop. Shen Wu opens it up and there it is. He sees the video footage. The real culprit who threw the punch wasn't Yu Yu at all.
The World's Most Dramatic Apology
Over at the construction site, Lin Sa sees Yu Yu. He's just standing there looking incredibly smug. Then Shen Wu rushes in. He starts apologizing to Yu Yu with these wild, over-the-top gestures. It's pretty ridiculous. Lin Sa is completely lost.
Later, she sees the video that proves Yu Yu's innocence. She finally gets it. She realizes she was totally wrong about him. But she doesn't understand one thing. If Yu Yu didn't do it, why was he willing to apologize? Yu Yu explains his logic. He says an apology doesn't really cost him anything. Plus, he's the boss. He thinks it's his job to take the fall for his employees.
Lin Sa and Shen Wu are genuinely impressed by this. They immediately switch gears. They start acting like total suck-ups, bowing and begging for Yu Yu's forgiveness.
Dumplings and Dating Drama
Yu Yu is definitely enjoying his moment. His friends think he’s acting like a different person. He's proud, maybe a little arrogant. They figure something must have shaken him up.
Later, he goes to see Gu Yejia, bringing a small watermelon. He starts showing her pictures of her blind date and making sarcastic comments. Gu Yejia knows him well enough. She understands he's just trying to look out for her in his own weird way.
Yu Yu then offers to make dumplings for her. This is a big deal. Xia Xiaoman calls Gu Yejia and finds out. She gets excited and threatens to invite a bunch of people over to watch him cook. While cooking, Yu Yu has to call his mom for advice on how to fold the dumplings. He gets super embarrassed when his mom realizes Gu Yejia is there with him. He quickly hangs up.
The dumplings are actually really good. Gu Yejia asks him why he only ever makes noodle-based food. He tells her he ate nothing but noodles for five years while studying architecture. Just then, her blind date shows up. The guy is happy to see her but gets quiet and awkward when he sees Yu Yu.
Yu Yu gives Gu Yejia the watermelon. He thanks her for giving him the courage to go apologize. That’s when she drops a bomb. The guy only accepted the apology because he’s her blind date. Yu Yu immediately snaps back at her. He can't believe she's still so set on getting married. She gets frustrated and says he's impossible to talk to because he's just clueless about these things.
A Creepy Client and a Moral Stand
Back at work, Lin Sa and Shen Wu want Yu Yu to meet a potential client. The guy is a rich, famous artist. Yu Yu is not interested. He ends up inviting Xia Xiaoman to a party for the artist instead.
At the party, Xia Xiaoman finds the artist a bit strange. Yu Yu isn't impressed by him either, even though everyone else is singing his praises. Things get worse later. Yu Yu runs into Xia Xiaoman on his way home. She's really upset. The old artist from the party was harassing her. She was trying to just endure it for the sake of a work project.
Yu Yu tells her she shouldn't put up with people like that. He goes straight to the office. He tells Lin Sa and Shen Wu they are not to accept any more work from creeps like that artist.
He goes home to think everything over. Xia Xiaoman rings his doorbell. She thanks him for standing up for her but says he didn't have to do that. Yu Yu, in classic Yu Yu fashion, just tells her she's reading too much into it.
The episode ends with Gu Yejia talking to Lin Sa. She tells her not to be angry with Yu Yu, because that's just how he is. She even spends some time with Yu Yu, trying to help him work through his thoughts. It seems like he might finally be starting to understand what it means to be a friend.
