Episode Summary
In this episode, business plans move forward, but a major misunderstanding threatens to ruin the potential reunion between Gun Yueliang and Ma Qinghao.

The episode kicks off with a debate about embroidery. Liu Yangxuanyu thinks they should add some Western flair to the designs. He believes it will appeal to younger people. Gun Yueliang immediately shuts that down. She argues that Miao embroidery is more than just pretty patterns. It’s the culture. It’s the wisdom of their ancestors. If they just copy Western styles, they lose what makes it special.
Her words actually get through to him. He realizes he wasn't thinking it through. Following her advice, he starts working on a new design with more flowers and bolder colors. Gun Yueliang sees he’s on the right track. She then makes an excuse to leave. This gives him some alone time with Xiaodie. Smooth.
Village Projects and Family Drama
Ma Qinghao is buzzing with a new idea. He runs into Xiao Baihe at the village entrance. He tells her he wants to develop a cliff-climbing project. The investment is huge, in the millions. Xiao Baihe is ecstatic. She tells him he'll be a hero in Cliff Village if he pulls this off.
Not everyone is happy about his big spending, though. Gun Dayue finds out his son, Gun Changpu, lent money to Ma Qinghao. He is not pleased. He complains that his son is too trusting and demands he get the money back. Gun Changpu tries to talk his dad down, but it’s no use. He even tries sweet-talking him. Gun Dayue isn't buying any of it. Gun Changpu finally just gives up and goes quiet.
A New Career and a Test of Courage
Wu Aicao has a new dream. He wants to get into live streaming. His wife, Long Fengbi, isn't a fan of the idea. So, he goes to Xiao Baihe for advice. She's actually very supportive. She even offers to talk to his wife for him.
But she also gives him a serious warning. She tells him a lot of streamers just sell sob stories or act foolish for views. She says that kind of content is bad for everyone and doesn't last. She wants him to promise he won't go down that path. Wu Aicao gives his word. He says he won't chase clout with cheap tricks. With that, Xiao Baihe promises him the full support of the village committee.
Elsewhere, Xu Baiyun is impressed with Ma Qinghao's skills. She wants to test his nerve, though. So she takes him bungee jumping. Standing on that high platform, Ma Qinghao pretends to be calm. He doesn't hesitate. He just jumps. His courage to face the unknown impresses Xu Baiyun. She agrees on the spot to partner with him.
A Huge Misunderstanding
The village gossips are at it again. The other embroiderers are teasing Xiaodie. They've noticed she and Liu Yangxuanyu are getting closer. They all think they make a cute couple. Xiaodie gets embarrassed and runs off to hide. Everyone is happy for her, but they also have a big concern. They worry that Liu Yangxuanyu will leave when his teaching job is done. The relationship might become long-distance.
Later, Gun Changpu catches a huge fish. He excitedly calls over his sister, Gun Yueliang, and Wu Aicao. They all decide they should get Ma Qinghao to join them for dinner. Gun Yueliang agrees to drive and pick him up.
This is where everything goes wrong. She arrives just as Ma Qinghao and Xu Baiyun are saying goodbye. They just sealed their business deal. To celebrate, Xu Baiyun gives him a quick, friendly hug. Gun Yueliang sees this from the car. She completely misreads the situation. She gets quiet and tells her brother to just drive away, leaving Ma Qinghao behind.
Back home, Gun Yueliang breaks down. All the old memories come flooding back. She remembers the pain of him leaving the village years ago. Now, that memory is mixed with the image of him hugging Xu Baiyun. She just sits there and cries.
Ma Qinghao eventually finds out what happened. He is beyond frustrated. Wu Aicao and Gun Changpu both chew him out. He’s so stunned he can't even think of an excuse. They were all hoping his return would finally melt the ice with Gun Yueliang. Instead, he just made things a thousand times worse.
To top it all off, Ma Qinghao's dad, Ma Yongbing, hears he brought a city girl to the village. He's both happy and worried. He's happy because her family seems well-off. He's worried because his son might have missed a chance with a wealthy sheep farmer's daughter. Ma Qinghao tries to explain that Xu Baiyun is just a business partner. But his dad just changes the subject. He starts pressuring him to hurry up and get married to Lei Tiantian. The guy just can't catch a break.
