Episode Summary
In this episode, Li Jinbao arrives and declares his interest in both Gun Yueliang and Ma Qinghao's business, forcing Qinghao to confront his feelings. After a series of failed attempts to apologize, Qinghao decides his only hope is to face a very angry Grandma Wu Enyun. Meanwhile, Wu Aicao leaves for the city to attend a class.

A New Suitor Appears
Just when things couldn't get more complicated, they do. Li Jinbao and Lei Tiantian roll into the village. They are here to see Gun Yueliang. But Li Jinbao has another agenda.
He pulls Gun Changpu aside for a private chat. He lays his cards on the table. He likes Gun Yueliang. A lot. He also wants to invest in Ma Qinghao's guesthouse. He thinks they can team up and make the project much bigger. Changpu is caught in the middle. He can't exactly accept an investment on Qinghao's behalf.
Lei Tiantian Makes a Graceful Exit
While that's happening, Lei Tiantian has a talk with Ma Qinghao. She's not blind. She can see he is completely hung up on Gun Yueliang.
So, she officially takes herself out of the running. She handles it with class. She tells him she'll just be his friend. She even encourages him to be more like Li Jinbao. She says he should be brave and just go after the person he loves. Qinghao is floored. He's impressed by how direct and cool she is about the whole situation.
Ma Qinghao's Panic Mode
The Investment Is Rejected
Ma Qinghao hears about Li Jinbao’s offer to invest. His answer is a hard no. He doesn't even think about it. He immediately shuts it down. It’s obvious Li Jinbao’s interest in Yueliang is the real reason.
The Guys Form a Plan
Qinghao is officially freaking out. He grabs Gun Changpu and Wu Aicao. They all go to a little restaurant for an emergency meeting. The topic is simple. How does Qinghao win Yueliang back before Li Jinbao does?
Wu Aicao gives him some tough love. He tells Qinghao he needs to drop the pride and stop hesitating. If he waits any longer, Yueliang will be gone for good. The pep talk seems to work. With his friends backing him up, Ma Qinghao finally decides to get his act together.
The Apology Tour Begins (and Fails)
An Awkward First Attempt
The next morning, Qinghao tries to put his plan into action. He waits for Yueliang outside her old family home. He sees her coming and gets completely flustered. He trips, falls, and gets a nasty bruise on his knee.
He wanted to explain a big misunderstanding from their past. But when he looks at her, he gets tongue-tied. He can't say a single word. So he just follows behind her silently as she walks home. It was a truly pathetic sight.
The Last Hope: Grandma Wu
His first attempt was a disaster. So Ma Qinghao runs back to Gun Changpu for help. This starts to annoy Gun Dayue, who is tired of the drama. Qinghao asks Changpu to talk to Yueliang for him. Or maybe he could get Grandma Wu Enyun to help smooth things over.
Changpu tells him that's a bad idea. Grandma Wu is still furious with Qinghao for hurting Yueliang years ago. In fact, she threatened to beat him up on sight. This terrifies Qinghao. But he also knows Grandma Wu is the only person who might be able to convince Yueliang to give him another chance. He feels he has no other choice. He buys a huge pile of gifts, takes a deep breath, and follows Changpu up the mountain to face the music.

Wu Aicao Goes to School
On a lighter note, Wu Aicao finally works up the nerve to talk to his wife, Long Fengbi. He tells her he wants to sign up for the live-streaming class in the city. I was expecting a fight, but she was surprisingly supportive. She agrees to let him go. Wu Aicao is thrilled and promises he'll study hard. After a sad goodbye with his son, he packs his bags and leaves.
Factory Matchmaking
Big things are happening in the village. Jiang Dekai arrives with a whole construction crew. Over at the embroidery factory, Ma Xiumei is stressed. They need new designs. Liu Yangxuanyu is their guy, but he's swamped with his teaching job.
Long Fengbi comes up with a smart solution. She suggests sending Xiaodie to see Liu Yangxuanyu. Xiaodie can bring the other embroiderers' drawings and ask for his professional opinion. This solves the design problem. It also creates a perfect excuse for Xiaodie and Liu Yangxuanyu to spend time together. Two birds, one stone.
