Episode Summary
Li Jinbao launches a full-scale campaign to win over Gun Yueliang and her family, impressing everyone except her. Ma Qinghao spends the day getting the cold shoulder from Wu Enyun and lazing around. Meanwhile, Wu Aicao is tempted by a get-rich-quick scheme at a seminar. The episode closes with Gun Yueliang learning the truth about Ma Qinghao and Xu Baiyun, giving her some peace of mind.

An Unwelcome Guest
The episode kicks off at Wu Enyun’s place. She’s busy in her yard. She looks up and sees Gun Changpu. A huge smile spreads across her face. That smile disappears about three seconds later. She spots Ma Qinghao hiding behind him. Her face just drops.
She starts slamming things around. She doesn't even look at Ma Qinghao. She just grabs her stuff and goes back into her room. Before leaving for good, she comes back out. She tells both of them to stay put on the mountain. It’s a seriously cold shoulder for Ma Qinghao.
Li Jinbao Makes His Move
While Ma Qinghao is getting the silent treatment, Li Jinbao is on the offensive. He shows up at the embroidery workshop. He's carrying a ton of pepper and pepper oil. He announces he's there to hand out gifts. He also tells the women they should start calling him "brother-in-law."
Chaos at the Workshop
Most of the embroiderers are just stunned by this move. A few of the younger women are actually charmed by him. But Gun Yueliang is sitting nearby. She’s completely focused on her work. She doesn't even lift her head.
Long Fengbi sees this. She understands Gun Yueliang’s attitude perfectly. She steps in and tries to kick Li Jinbao out. He doesn't take the hint. He gets even more enthusiastic. He keeps calling Gun Yueliang "our Yueliang." This makes Long Fengbi furious. She starts chasing him around, trying to hit him. The whole workshop turns into a circus. Through all of it, Gun Yueliang just keeps stitching. She seems totally unaware of the chaos around her.
A Business Proposal
Gun Yueliang eventually tries to get rid of Li Jinbao politely. It doesn't work. He stays. He then pivots to a business pitch for all the embroiderers. He wants them to design Miao embroidery-themed packaging for his pepper factory. He also promises to bring in advanced embroidery machines to help them. The women are hooked by the idea. Gun Yueliang just looks exasperated.
A Tempting Offer for Wu Aicao
We cut to Wu Aicao. She's at a training class for livestreaming. The plastic stool is killing her back. She hasn't learned much about streaming yet. She's mostly just listening to experts talk about success.
The host suddenly brings out a high-end camera. He claims it's an American import. He hypes it up like crazy. He says the original price is hundreds of thousands. But the expert on stage slashes the price. Now it's just over ten thousand. They also promise a reduction in tuition fees. The other students rush to buy one. You can see Wu Aicao is seriously tempted.
Two Suitors, Two Different Approaches
This episode really highlights the difference between the two men trying to win over Gun Yueliang.
The Hard Sell
Li Jinbao is working overtime. He sweet-talks Gun Yueliang's parents, Gun Dayue and his wife, into coming up the mountain. He’s incredibly polite and helpful in front of Wu Enyun. The old woman is pretty impressed. Gun Dayue absolutely loves the guy. He looks like he's ready to marry his daughter off on the spot. Gun Yueliang’s attitude, however, stays completely cold.
Later, Wu Enyun sits with Gun Yueliang and Long Fengbi while they embroider. She starts talking about Li Jinbao and Ma Qinghao. She compares them. It's clear she thinks Li Jinbao is the more reliable and better choice.
The Lazy Approach
While all this is going on, Ma Qinghao is just lounging in Wu Enyun's yard. He's soaking up the sun. Gun Changpu is doing chores and nagging him. He reminds Ma Qinghao of all the trouble he's caused over the years. He says he's always the one cleaning up his messes. Ma Qinghao just listens with a lazy smile. He doesn't lift a finger.
The sun gets high in the sky. Ma Qinghao is starving. He starts staring at the chickens in the coop. You can see him imagining all the ways to cook one. Gun Changpu sees the look in his eyes. He quickly steps in and talks him out of that dangerous idea.
As the sun starts to set, the two men still haven't seen Wu Enyun. They finally give up. They head back down the mountain with their empty baskets.
A Heart-to-Heart
The episode ends with Xiao Baihe finding Gun Yueliang for a talk. She gets right to the point. She knows exactly what is bothering her friend. Xiao Baihe tells her there is nothing going on between Ma Qinghao and Xu Baiyun. Hearing this, Gun Yueliang finally starts to feel a little better.
