Episode Summary
Nie Xiguang returns to work and tries to avoid Lin Yusen after his confession, going so far as to aggressively shovel snow to avoid talking to him. Dr. Fang plays matchmaker, revealing Yusen's long-standing interest in her. During a walk, Xiguang accidentally admits she wishes she met Yusen first, leading to a truce between them. Yusen puts her in charge of a new construction project, and she quickly realizes the difficulties of balancing her role as an employee and a shareholder.

Grandma Knows Best
We start things off in the countryside. Nie Xiguang is helping her grandmother pick vegetables. It’s a nice bonding moment until Grandma starts on the topic of marriage. She tells Xiguang to choose her partner carefully. She specifically warns against irresponsible men. This is the second time in one day Xiguang has heard this lecture. It hits a nerve. She realizes Grandma’s advice sounds exactly like what Lin Yusen told her. He wants her to take her time and enjoy being pursued.
They head back inside to cook. Grandma keeps talking while Xiguang manages the stove. The old lady complains about Nie Chengyuan. She thinks he is difficult. She praises Jiang Yun as a good daughter-in-law but thinks she is too polite to keep her husband in check.
The Art of Aggressive Shoveling
Vacation is over. Xiguang heads back to Shuangyuan. She is a nervous wreck about seeing Yusen again. The weather doesn't help. It snowed heavily the night before. The whole company has to clear snow from the solar panels. The management department gets assigned to the roof.
Yusen is already there working. Xiguang gets assigned the spot right next to him. She panics. To avoid awkward conversation, she turns into a machine. She clears a massive area in record time. Her coworker Yin Jie is baffled. She asks why Xiguang is suddenly working so hard. Xiguang doesn't have a good answer.
Later, Yusen holds a meeting. He discusses year-end reviews. He suggests adding more paid leave for the younger staff. He also assigns Xiguang and Yin Jie to find a venue for the annual party.
The Wingman We All Need
Xiguang and Yin Jie go scout hotels. Xiguang is totally distracted. Yin Jie notices. She asks if something bad happened in Shanghai. She saw Xiguang avoiding Yusen in the elevator earlier. She also brings up the aggressive snow shoveling. Xiguang tries to dodge the questions. Luckily, Dr. Fang calls. He invites her to dinner.
Xiguang assumes Fang doesn't know about Yusen’s confession. She is wrong. Fang tells her everything. He says Yusen is usually a boring guy. He reveals that Yusen tried very hard to stay in the hospital just to be near her. Fang encourages her to date him. He says all the medical school girls would be jealous. Then he pulls a classic move. He claims he has to go back to work and leaves Yusen to drive her home.
Accidental Confessions
Yusen shows up to drive her. They go eat first. They fight over the check. Yusen wins. He says he made his intentions clear, so he pays. They have to walk a bit to get to the car. Xiguang mentions that Lu Sha didn't actually invite her to the wedding. Yusen admits he knew. He just wanted an excuse to hang out with her.
Xiguang realizes they are similar. They are both direct. If they like someone, they say it. She lets her guard down. She tells him she wishes she had met him first. She immediately regrets saying it. It feels too honest. She gets flustered.
Yusen sees she is uncomfortable. He apologizes for scaring her with his confession. Xiguang thinks about her own history with Zhuang Xu. She realizes she is doing the same thing to Yusen that she did to Zhuang Xu. She tells him to stop apologizing. She promises to stop hiding. Yusen immediately capitalizes on this. He asks her to work overtime with him.
The Boss Life
They go to the Phase 2 construction site. Yusen shows her the blueprints. There is a small empty plot of land. He asks her for advice as a shareholder. Xiguang suggests a solar-powered garden for the staff. Yusen loves it. He puts her in charge of the project.
Real work begins. Xiguang meets with Mr. Hua from engineering. He asks technical questions about mounting the panels. Xiguang realizes she is out of her depth. She goes back to the office to study. She learns that executing a project is a nightmare. Yin Jie sees her stressing out. Xiguang jokes about switching between employee mode and boss mode. Yin Jie has no idea what she is talking about.
We end in the cafeteria. The company is voting on a new food contractor. The management department is drawing lots to see who gets to taste test. Yusen walks by. The supervisor invites him to cast a vote too.
