Episode Summary
Yusen wins Xiguang back with fireworks and a sincere apology. Zhuang Xu realizes he still has feelings for Xiguang but fails to act on them. Yusen makes peace with his past trauma and visits his grandfather in Shanghai, walking into a tense family situation.

Fireworks and forgiveness
Lin Yusen knows he messed up. He shows up at Nie Xiguang’s door with two big boxes of fireworks. Jiang Rui spots him from the window. She texts Xiguang immediately. Xiguang is still fuming. She refuses to look. Then her phone buzzes again. Yusen sends a screenshot. It proves his texts failed to send earlier that afternoon. The anger vanishes. She runs outside to find him.
Yusen apologizes right away. He admits he was distracted by the emergency. He worries she was anxious about him. Xiguang can’t stay mad. She sees the ridiculous amount of fireworks he bought. It’s endearing. She goes back inside to grab a lighter.
Jiang Rui’s advice
Jiang Rui thinks this is too easy. She warns Xiguang not to forgive him so fast. You lose the upper hand that way. Xiguang agrees at first. Then she stops. She thinks about Yusen at the hospital. He had to deliver a patient to surgery. That must have reminded him of his own accident. He can’t use a scalpel anymore. That pain is real. She ignores Jiang Rui’s advice.
Xiguang and Yusen light the fireworks. Yusen still looks a bit gloomy. Xiguang lights a sparkler. She tells him he did a good job saving a life today. It’s the validation he needs. He promises never to upset her again. They call Jiang Rui down. The three of them go eat hotpot.
Letting go of the past

Kris watches him do this. She realizes her feelings have changed. It isn’t just admiration anymore. She sees his kindness. She is in love.
Zhuang Xu packs his bags. His mind drifts to Xiguang. He remembers seeing her ski with Yusen. They didn’t touch. Justin said Yusen is chasing her. That implies she hasn’t said yes yet. Zhuang Xu walks to her hotel in the rain. He stands outside with an umbrella. He types a text asking about her relationship. He stares at the screen. He doesn’t send it.
Departures and family politics
The next day, the group visits Tianchi Lake. Then they split up. Yusen and his mom head back to Beijing. Yusen stops by the hospital first. He checks on Kevin’s recovery. He runs into Zhuang Xu. They exchange a stiff greeting. Back at the hotel, Xiguang packs. She looks at the snowman Yusen made her. She can’t take it with her. She takes photos of it instead.
Yusen goes to Shanghai. He visits Sheng Xianmin. Family drama follows him. Sheng Bokai’s wife, Yao Shufen, is busy stirring the pot. She spreads rumors that Sheng Weiai is back but won’t visit her father. The old man doesn’t care. He just wants to know his daughter is okay. He tells Yusen to go rest in Suzhou. Sheng Bokai scolds his wife for the drama. She claims she does it for their son. Bokai ignores her. He hears Nie Chengyuan is in town. He goes out to meet him.
