Episode Summary
Nie Xiguang clashes with Lin Yusen over dorm arrangements but ends up sacrificing her spot for friends. During a warehouse inventory, she runs out to see Zhuang Xu, leading Lin Yusen to punish her with permanent inventory duty. She hitches an awkward ride to Shanghai with Lin Yusen and drags her friends to the business district hoping to see Zhuang Xu again, only to realize he wouldn't be at the office on a weekend.

Office Politics and Awkward Road Trips
We are back at Shuangyuan, and the vibe is tense. Lin Yusen wraps up a meeting, but Nie Xiguang is right on his heels. She follows him straight into his office to complain about the dorm situation. He takes off his suit jacket. For a split second, she hallucinates him in a white doctor’s coat. She shakes it off fast.
She points out the flaws in the housing rules. Lin Yusen actually listens. He calls the logistics department. They tell him Mr. Mo set this up specifically. Lin Yusen doesn't want a fight with Mo right now. He lets the issue slide.
The Roommate Shuffle
The dorms are double rooms. Lin Yusen makes a call. He tells logistics to let Yin Jie and Wan Yuhua move in first. Nie Xiguang gets left out. She has to play the martyr here. She leaves the office and calls her friend Jiang Rui to vent. She feels like the boss is targeting her.
Jiang Rui has a different take. He warns her about the internal fighting at Shuangyuan. Lin Yusen rose to General Manager in a year. That takes connections. Jiang Rui thinks Lin Yusen knows her real identity and wants to push her out. Nie Xiguang doesn't buy it.
The Stare-Down in the Warehouse
Business moves forward elsewhere. Boss Ba talks to Sheng Bokai about funding. Sheng sends Zhuang Xu to Shuangyuan for some recon.
Nie Xiguang helps her friends move. They worry she will get in trouble for sticking her neck out. She figures she already messed up a bank transfer, so this is nothing.
The end-of-month inventory rolls around. Nie Xiguang volunteers for warehouse duty. Lin Yusen sees her there early. He seems surprised. Then his assistant drops news. A researcher from Huaya Bank is coming. It is Zhuang Xu. Lin Yusen tells finance to handle him.
Ou Qiqi starts gossiping during a break. She heard the banker is handsome and named Zhuang. Nie Xiguang loses her cool. She makes up an excuse and sprints out of the warehouse. She gets her wish. She spots Zhuang Xu. They lock eyes. Neither says a word. He pauses for a few seconds, then walks away.
Punishment and Pain
Lin Yusen sees the whole staring contest. He walks over. He assigns Nie Xiguang to handle the monthly inventory permanently. He calls it a punishment for leaving her post.
The finance team reports back to Lin Yusen. Huaya Bank only sent a junior employee. He didn't even enter the factory. Lin Yusen sees this as a lack of respect. He decides to go with Yixin Bank instead.
Nie Xiguang goes back to work. She climbs a ladder and takes a nasty fall. She bangs her head. By Friday, the inventory is done, but she is physically wrecked.
A Very Long Drive
The weekend finally arrives. Nie Xiguang just wants to sleep. Her friends have other plans. They want to go to Shanghai. She suddenly gets energy and agrees to go.
Here is the kicker. Lin Yusen is heading to Shanghai too. The friends want to hitch a ride. Nie Xiguang hates the idea. She gets in the car and passes out immediately. Yin Jie explains to the boss that Nie Xiguang is exhausted from overtime. They plan to get out near the highway. But Nie Xiguang sleeps like a rock. Lin Yusen drives them all the way to their destination.
Stalking the Ex
They visit Ping'an Temple. Nie Xiguang makes a wish. She prays for Lin Yusen to disappear from her life. Her friends want street food. Nie Xiguang has a different agenda. She suggests going to Lujiazui to look at "elites." She really just wants to run into Zhuang Xu.
They take a cab to the Shengyuan headquarters. Nie Xiguang lies to her friends. She says she might run into Lin Yusen again for a ride back.
Lin Yusen is actually working. He meets with Sheng Xianmin. He isn't asking for money this time. He brings up Mr. Mo from procurement. Mo is taking kickbacks and spreading rumors. Sheng Xianmin agrees to investigate the corruption.
Nie Xiguang is stalling. She orders a ton of food at a restaurant. Her friends are stuffed. She drags them to a dessert shop next. She keeps staring out the window. She hopes to see Zhuang Xu. Then reality hits her. It is the weekend. He is not at work. She feels like an idiot.
