Episode Summary
Ma Weiguo collapses and receives a terminal diagnosis of three to six months, though his friends hide the severity from him. He reconciles with Jin Tong at the hospital. Li Lianbao walks out of the roast duck shop with his daughter. Kevin is waiting for them like a vulture. He bought tickets to a concert Yuanyuan wants to see. It is a clear manipulation tactic. He wants to drive a wedge between the father and daughter. Li Lianbao hates it. He cannot tell the kid she can't go. That would make him the bad guy.
But Yuanyuan is the MVP of this scene. She turns down the tickets. She tells Kevin she wants to stay with her dad. She even says she won't move abroad. Li Lianbao feels a surge of confidence.
