Plot Synopsis

The Tang Dynasty detective squad is back. This time, they're heading straight into the lion's den, Chang'an.

Thepolitical situation is a mess. The new emperor is on the throne, but the GrandPrincess really calls the shots. The capital is one spark away from an explosion. Lu Lingfeng and Su Wuming retuwith their whole crew,Pei Xijun and Master Fei included.

Their official mission is to escort some goldenpeaches. The real job, of course, is to solve crimes.

Lu Lingfeng gets his oldpost back, and Su Wuming lands a special assignment. The bestpart? Master Fei opens a dessert shop, which is secretly the city's main intelligence hub. A spy network run on sugar, basically.

Their new method is "city-wide investigation". They're getting out of thepalace and into the streets, dealing with cases that affect ordinarypeople. You've got cases about cursedpeaches, mysterious cries from a temple, a snake eating its own tail... it's a whole menu of weird.

All these smaller mysteries lead to one massive conspiracy, the "ProsperousPolo Match" case. This one goes all the way to the top, right into the heart of thepower struggle.

This season looks like it's going to be tough on our heroes. They'll have to make some serious sacrifices. But through it all, their core mission doesn't change. They're still there toprotect thepeople of Chang'an, no matter how messy thepolitics get.
