Plot Synopsis

Basically, this show is about a regular guy thrown into the deepend.

The story is set in 1939 Shanghai.An intelligence agent, Gu Yangshan (played by Elvis Han), accidentally kills the blind cryptography expert he was supposed to kidnap.Bigproblem. So, he grabs a small-time actor named Ding Yi (played by Zhang Yishan) to impersonate the dead expert.Ding Yi was already working as the expert's body double, so he gets a "promotion."

Now you have a real agent and a fake expert teamed up. Gu acts as Ding Yi's assistant, and together they infiltrate a Japanese intelligence unit.Their mission is to sabotage the development of a new Japanese crypto system.

The trickypart is, Ding Yi knows nothing about codes and isn't actually blind.They have to keepupthe act right under the noses of the Japanese.Every day is a tightrope walk, trying to complete their mission while desperately covering their tracks.They get helpalong the way from a theater owner, Xian Biyun (played by Zhang Tianai).

The setupis interesting. You have an elite agent and a street-smart nobody forced to work together.Watching them go from clashingpersonalities to becoming trustedpartners is a corepart of the show. For the cast, Zhang Yishan is in his elementplaying a slightly roguish character, and Elvis Han fits the role of the serious, straight-laced agent.

Overall, theplot moves fast and gets straight to thepoint, laying out the main conflicts right from the start.If you like tense, spy-action stories with a strong duo, give this one a look.
