Blood River

Plot Synopsis

The story is about the topassassin groupin the land, called Anhe, or Dark River. Their big boss getspoisoned and is on his way out.

This kicks off a nastypower struggle between the three families that run the organization. Everyone wants the topjob. Our main guy, Su Muyu, is the leader of the boss'spersonal guard, codenamed "Kui". He gets dragged right into the middle of this mess. He's forced toprotect his dying boss from everyone.

Things get complicated because he ends upfighting his best friend, Su Changhe, who has very different ideas about the group's future. Along the way, they meet a genius doctor who might be able to help.

Eventually, the younger generation takes over. Su Changhe becomes the new leader, and Su Muyu takes charge of the Su family. They're tired of living in the shadows. Their big idea is "Project Other Shore", aplan to reform the assassin groupand make it a legitimate force, not just a blade for hire.

To do this, they have to navigate the dangerouspolitics between the imperial court and other martial arts sects.

The show also has apretty cool world design. It uses four distinct colors, gray, blue, red, and white, to define its four major cities, giving each a unique visual identity. So you get a story about internalpolitics within a deadly organization, a clash of ideals between friends, and a quest to change their own destiny.
