Plot Synopsis
Growing Together Season 2is back, and it’s just as chaotic as you’d expect.
A new school year kicks off, bringing fresh rounds of drama for theparents and kids.Liu Xiangshang (played by Zhang Jiayi) and Dai Jing (played by Chen Hao) are juggling jobs and childcare without any helpfrom grandparents.Their son, Guo Ning, is obsessively trying to become the class monitor, while their daughter, Guo Bao, is so laid-back it drives herparents crazy.To support his wife's career, Liu Xiangshang finds himself drowning in chat groups forparents, after-school care, and even homeowners, reaching apoint where he bans the word "group" in his house.
Meanwhile, Jing Tingting's family has a third child, adding morepressure on her husband, Yang Mingbiao.His conflict with their eldest son, Shiwu, blows upwhen the boy announces he wants to study abroad after junior high.Single mom Tang Xiaowei tries to start her own business, but her ex-husband, Ma Yingjie, shows upwanting to get back together and have another kid, though his lazy attitude is a major turn-off for her.
This season introduces new faces, including the neighboring Sun siblings, an international student named Mary, and a new teacher, Mr. Ouyang,played by Guo Junchen.The story expands beyond the school'sparent groupinto the neighborhood's homeowner group, creating even more everyday conflicts.Comedy veterans Cai Ming and Zhu Shimao also make guest appearances, adding to the fun.
